Overview
Changes for Classic
Fury of the Sands (R) magic damage temporarily converts a percentage into attack damage
How to Play
Your entire laning phase revolves around stacking Q. Don't sacrifice large amounts of health just to secure stacks, missing a few is better than dying. You can always farm with E but the only downside is it pushes the wave. Against aggressive lanes, allow the wave to come towards your tower where you can farm more safely. Use W defensively to escape ganks or stop enemy all ins. Once you've built some armor and have core items like Iceborn Gauntlet, you'll naturally become stronger and can begin to start winning 1v1s.
Runes Explained
For runes, Lifesteal Quintessences are a great choice since we already stack a lot of damage on Q, allowing the extra sustain to keep us healthy during the laning phase and fights. Armor Penetration Marks help make his Q hit even harder by cutting through enemy defenses. For Seals and Glyphs, we want to focus on defensive stats, taking Armor Seals and Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs to help him survive as the game goes on. If you're against an AP heavy lane, you can swap to Flat Magic Resist Glyphs for stronger early protection.
Masteries Explained
While playing
Nasus, your main goal is to stay in lane for as long as possible and build up as many stacks as you can. The Defense tree is extremely useful for this, giving you extra health, resistances, and damage reduction to help you survive longer in lane and farm safely. For the remaining points, put them into the Offense tree to increase your damage output. The extra Cooldown Reduction allows you to use Siphoning Strike more often, while the penetration helps your abilities and attacks hit harder throughout the game.
