How to Play
Janna is a very passive and defensive enchanter, and your goal throughout the laning phase is to remain safe and protect your ADC from damage with your healing and shields. During the laning phase, you should focus on keeping both your mana and health bar high by harassing the enemy with basic attacks rather than your W or Q. You should save these abilities to prevent all-ins. Once you have enough gold, you need to get both Green and Pink Wards.
During the mid and late game, you need to keep placing wards around the map, especially when the Baron is about to spawn. Outside of placing vision, you need to stick with your carries and provide them with shields and peel them as much as possible to ensure they survive the enemy all-in. Remember, your Ultimate is a versatile tool and can also be used to knock back the enemy frontline if needed.
Runes Explained
The best Runes for
Janna are 9x Armor Marks, 9x Armor Seals, 9x Magic Resist Glyphs and 3x Quintessences of Gold. As
Janna is a squishy Support, she should take double Armor to protect her from enemy ADC auto-attacks. The Magic Resistance Glyphs will block AP damage, which is crucial versus AP enemies, and the Gold Quints will increase her gold income, which allows her to buy more wards.
Masteries Explained
Because
Janna is a utility champion, we will be putting 21 points into the Utility tree and 9 points into the Defensive tree. As we are quite a squishy champion, we should take additional health, armor and magic resistance in the Defence tree to help protect us from incoming damage.
The Utility tree is where we should put a lot of our points, as it makes us a better Support. It will give us extra gold, more mana to use our abilities, and a free ward.
