How to Play
Fiddlesticks is a farm-oriented jungler who becomes one of the strongest teamfight champions once he reaches level 6. Start by clearing efficiently with your W, as it provides excellent sustain and lets you stay healthy through your first rotation.
You really want to avoid early duels against aggressive junglers like Shaco and Jarvan IV, as you're much stronger when fighting on your own terms. Before level 6, only gank if the enemy is heavily overextended, lead with your Q, then use your E to silence before channeling Drain for maximum damage.
Remember to keep an eye on your gold as well, and keep buying any important component, as it'll boost your damage. Once your ultimate is available, always look to engage from fog of war or over a wall. A well-positioned ultimate can instantly win a fight, especially if you fear the enemy carry before they have time to react.
Runes Explained
For
Fiddlesticks' runes, you'll want to prioritize Magic Penetration Marks and Ability Power Quintessences to maximize his damage, especially the impact of his Crowstorm. Armor Seals are highly recommended, as
Fiddlesticks is at his weakest during his early jungle clear, and the extra Armor helps reduce incoming damage from jungle camps.
For Glyphs, take Scaling Magic Resist, since you don't need the flat Magic Resist early, and the scaling version provides more value later in the game. If the enemy team is heavily AD-focused, you can instead opt for Ability Power Glyphs to further increase your damage output.
Masteries Explained
When playing
Fiddlesticks, you should prioritize the Offense tree, as it provides Ability Power, Magic Penetration, and increased overall damage, all of which synergize perfectly with his kit and significantly boost his damage output. For your secondary tree, Utility is the ideal choice. The reduced Summoner Spell cooldowns are always valuable, especially his Flash.
