Changes for Classic

• Abilities are completely different
• Hate Spike (Q) Evelynn fires a line of spikes through an enemy, dealing damage to all enemies in its path.
• Dark Frenzy (W) Evelynn passively increases her movement speed when hitting enemy champions with her spell. Upon activation, Evelynn breaks free from slows affecting her and gains a massive movement speed boost for a short duration
• Ravage (E) Evelynn slashes her target twice, dealing damage with each hit. She then gains increased attack speed for a short duration.
• Agony's Embrace (R) Evelynn summons spikes from the ground to deal damage and slow enemies in the area. She then gains a shield based on how many enemy champions were hit.

How to Play

Evelynn is all about applying constant pressure through stealth. Your early clear is respectable, but avoid fighting stronger champions like Lee Sin or Jarvan before you've picked up some items. Farm efficiently and look for overextended lanes where you can approach unseen and open with your E before spamming your Q.

Remember, if you're slowed or you just need the movement speed, then use W so you can stick onto the enemy. Once you have your ultimate, this adds so much damage to your ganks, allowing you to snowball the game while building even more Ability Power.

Evelynn is strongest when she's keeping every lane guessing, so stay unpredictable and punish lanes that are overextending.

Runes Explained

For Evelynn's runes, you'll want to prioritize Magic Penetration Marks to increase the damage of her abilities.

Armor Seals are the best choice, as they reduce damage from both jungle monsters and AD champions, making your early clears much safer.

For Glyphs, take Scaling Magic Resist, since the extra Magic Resist becomes more valuable as the game progresses and you don't need as much during the early jungle clear.

Finally, Ability Power Quintessences provide a significant boost to Evelynn's damage, increasing both her burst potential and overall kill pressure throughout the game.

Masteries Explained

When playing Evelynn, you should prioritize the Offense tree to maximize her damage output and improve her jungle clear. The additional Ability Power, Magic Penetration, and offensive bonuses allow her to burst down targets more effectively once she emerges from stealth.

For your secondary tree, Defense is the best choice, as the bonus Armor and damage reduction against jungle monsters make her early clears healthier and more efficient, helping her reach her power spikes more quickly.
