Changes for Classic

• Burning Agony (W) is a toggle of damage AoE around him
• Masochism (E) is a buff for a time not an attack
• Adrenaline Rush (P) regenerates health over time

How to Play

Dr. Mundo is a strong scaling top laner who thrives in extended fights thanks to his sustain and durability. Use Infected Cleaver (Q) to safely poke enemies and farm from a distance, while Burning Agony (W) helps you trade effectively and push waves.

Play patiently through the early game, focusing on farming and avoiding unnecessary fights. Once you unlock your ultimate, Sadism (R), you'll become much harder to kill and can take longer trades with confidence. As the game progresses, your goal is to become an unstoppable frontline that soaks up damage while running down the enemy carries.

Runes Explained

For Dr. Mundo's runes, focus on boosting your damage while staying strong in lane. Magic Penetration Marks increase the damage of your abilities, while Armor Seals and Armor Quintessences help you survive early trades against AD champions. Finish with Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs, as the extra Magic Resist becomes more valuable as the game goes on.

Masteries Explained

When playing Dr. Mundo in the top lane, you should prioritize the Defense tree, as his abilities scale exceptionally well with Health. The bonus Health, Armor, Magic Resist, and damage reduction make him much harder to force out of lane, allowing him to win extended trades and scale into an unstoppable frontline.

For your secondary tree, Offense is the best choice. The additional Damage, Penetration, and Attack Speed improve your trading and wave clear, helping you pressure your opponent while still dealing solid damage throughout the game.
