How to Play
Caitlyn is a long-range ADC who uses her superior poke and range advantage to harass the enemy and poke them down as much as possible. Your goals during the laning phase are to get the early turret and also kill the enemy laners as often as you can. Poke the enemy with auto-attacks whenever possible so you can look for aggressive all-ins with your Support.
After destroying the first tower in the bottom lane, rotate around the map, switch roles with your Mid Laner or Top Laner, and take their respective towers. Never leave your Support's side! Caitlyn is extremely easy to kill and vulnerable to all-ins when she is left alone. Make sure you stay with your Support throughout the mid and late game.
Runes Explained
Cait will be taking standard AD Carry Runes. She should take 9x Attack Damage marks as this is going to increase her basic attacks and her ability damage. The additional early damage will make it easier for her to last-hit minions and make her auto-attacks hurt even more. As she is an AD champ, she is vulnerable to incoming damage from both AD and AP champions. This is why you should take Armor and Magic Resistance Seals and Glyphs. These defensive Runes will help protect her from incoming damage.
You should take AD Quints as it just gives you free AD, which makes your autos hurt even more!
Masteries Explained
Caitlyn is an ADC champion who will be dealing most of her damage through auto-attacks and crits. We recommend going 21 points in the Offence tree and 9 in the Defense tree. Damage dealers tend to go for 21 points in the Offence tree as it increases her damage output, helps her farm and poke.
We take 9 points in the Defensive tree as it gives us additional protection to help keep us alive in lane and in team fights.
