Anivia is an AP mage, so you should prioritize Magic Penetration Marks and Ability Power Quintessences to maximize her damage output. Since Anivia's laning phase is relatively weak, taking Armor Seals and Magic Resist Glyphs provides valuable early game durability, helping her survive difficult matchups and scale safely into the late game.

When playing Anivia, you should prioritize the Offense tree, as it provides Ability Power, Cooldown Reduction, and Magic Penetration, all of which are extremely valuable throughout the game. For your secondary tree, choose Utility, since the bonus Mana Regeneration helps during the laning phase, and the reduced Summoner Spell cooldowns can make a significant difference over the course of the game.
Our experts are currently testing LoL Classic builds for Anivia on the PBE.

Early on, Anivia is vulnerable due to her lack of mobility and mana issues.
Focus almost entirely on farming until you can purchase a Catalyst the Protector for Health and Mana. Use your Q carefully, as missing it leaves you open to retaliation, plus it's the perfect ability if your jungler comes to gank.
Your passive makes tower dives risky for opponents, making you safe if you keep the wave closer to your turret. Once you have enough mana and reach level 6, your waveclear becomes excellent with your R.
Look to control the lane and punish enemies who overextend with your stun and wall.
