Taric Matchups Overview
Taric General information
Taric tips and tricks
Get as close to the enemy before activating your E. If you activate it from far away, it will be very hard for you to CC the enemy without committing your Flash.
Do not hold on to your Ultimate R until it’s too late. Use it early enough for it to be effective so you do not die before it activates. It’s better to be safe than sorry after all.
Keep a constant eye on your mana pool throughout the early and mid-game. Taric’s mana costs are very high, and you don’t want to run out of mana and be forced to recall.

The Best Taric Builds, Runes and Items for Jungle in Emerald +
Most Popular
If you want to use the most popular Taric Jungle build, you should take Flash and Smite as your Summoner Spells. For runes, you should pick Phase Rush as your keystone, followed by Nullifying Orb, Celerity and Waterwalking in the primary tree, as well as Revitalize and Conditioning in the secondary tree. For rune shards, you want Attack Speed in offense, Move Speed in flex and Tenacity and Slow Resist in defense, though it depends on the matchup. Finally, for your items, you should build Rod of Ages as your first item, followed by Plated Steelcaps and Thornmail. For your last 3 items, you should build Abyssal Mask, Moonstone Renewer and finish with Locket of the Iron Solari. For the skill order, you want to stick with E - Q - W. Right now, this build has 50.0% winrate over 92 matches played.
Situational Taric Runes and Items
Depending on the context of your game, your matchup, and enemy champions, you might want to consider building some situational items or take specific runes. Carefully examine your team, enemy team, game state , and your matchup to plan your Taric build accordingly! For example, when it comes to rune shards, you might want to take either Armor or Magic Resist, depending on which champion you are about to lane against.
