Really good burst potential with her entire Q, E, Ultimate combo. This can delete a squishy enemy with ease starting from level six itself.
Her W shield is deceptively strong as it can allow her to save all her team members from a lot of poke. This is also applicable when she is Support.
Her Q can be used to secure picks inside the enemy Jungle or from blind areas. This can be extremely beneficial if the picked target happens to be the enemy Jungler or the ranged carry.
Very immobile and can be killed almost immediately if she is caught out without her Q. Layered CC will make her absolutely useless.
She is somewhat item reliant, so camping and killing her a lot during the early game will just make her a shield bot during the late game.
She can be picked off easily by the enemy team if she wanders too far from her team, or when she is trying to take the Blue Buff. She will also be very weak against complete all-ins from the enemy team.

During the laning phase, focus on poking the enemy down to gain a health advantage. When the enemy is low, commit to an all-in.
Try your hardest to keep your ADC alive for as long as possible in lane. Provide them with shields whenever they need them.
After destroying the bottom lane tower, rotate to the mid lane and try to take that tower. This will open up the map and give your team a gold lead.

As a Support, you’re quite vulnerable and can easily be killed when going to ward, when you’re moving around the map, and when you’re alone. To reduce the chances of dying and getting caught out of position, try and stick with your team at all times.
Keep a constant eye on what major objective is spawning next. If it’s spawning soon, make sure you place vision around the objective as quickly and as safely as possible before retreating to safety. Having vision around major objectives is key.
Look for picks during the mid-game. If you can pick someone off with the help from your allies, you can abuse their death timer to earn more gold and possibly take a tower, an objective or get more kills.

Ward major objectives and place vision in high traffic areas in the late stages of the game. Keep them warded so you can see the enemy move around the map and see them starting the objective.
Stay with your team at all times. Avoid moving around the map alone so you do not get caught out. Getting caught out will result in your team having to play 4v5. Do not ward alone unless you know where the enemy is.
Peel for your allies as much as possible. Keeping them alive for as long as possible in team fights is a must in order to win the game.
Level 2 is an all-in power spike for Lux. She should be able to all-in the enemy by using the lane brushes to drop vision and bamboozling the enemy. If the enemy is cautious, they will be zoned out easily.
Level 6 is another significant power spike as she will assist her ADC in killing the enemy bot lane. The ability can also be used to safely steal neutral objectives or snipe kills.
The first item component will make up for good poke as Lux will use the lane brushes to keep harassing the enemy bot lane. Her long range will make it really hard for the enemy to catch up to her.
Lux will not have many items and will hurt a lot due to her AP ratios. Any squishy who gets caught by her Q will most definitely end up dying.
She will spike really hard at level 11. This is mainly because of her Ultimate upgrade, which will increase the damage of that ability while drastically reducing its cooldown. The mid-lane brushes will be a good place to wait for unsuspecting enemies.
Lux is generally good during team fights, but she will excel when fighting in choke points. The enemy won't be able to do anything to avoid Lux's Q and will be zoned out by her E poke.
Her W will allow her to peel multiple carries at the same time. The shield will be powerful, so it will work really well against assassination attempts.
Getting 3 points in her Ultimate will give her a massive damage boost. She will be a source of constant DPS, even if she goes for a fully-fledged Support build.
She will have multiple items during this phase of the game, which will make her shields and abilities way more potent. It helps her deal with burst damage and/or an enemy team filled with hard CC.
