Locke counter tips

General advice on how to play against Locke
Laning Against Locke

Laning Against Locke

Keep the wave closer to your side of the map early, especially if you’re a weak early game champion and immobile. This will reduce Locke’s all-in potential and keep you safer in the lane.

Do not blindly follow Locke into the unknown, as he could be setting up an ambush. Instead, push the wave into his turret and constantly spam ping that he is missing from the lane.

Avoid overstaying in the lane as Locke’s damage can be quite high, and he deals a surprising amount of damage with his Passive, Ritual NailsQ, and Ultimate. Recall if you’re low, so you do not give him a free early kill.

Strategy VS Locke

Strategy VS Locke

Hold on to your CC abilities and try to lock him down as quickly as you can. Locke is quite mobile and can deal a lot of damage if you do not focus him. Make him your main focus in a fight.

Avoid fighting around the Baron, Dragon pit or around objectives and in the jungle, as his kit has AOE abilities, and he can deal a lot of damage. It is best to fight in the open when he is solo, when he is not with his team, or when his Ultimate is on cooldown instead.

Try not to walk around Summoners Rift alone if you do not know where Locke is, as he can easily take down someone who is walking around the rift alone. Stick with your team if you do not know where he is.

Locke Power Spikes

Locke Power Spikes

The first power spike for Locke is when he has completed his first component item, as this is going to increase his not only increase his damage output, but it will also make it really easy for him to push the minion wave into the enemy's tower and roam.

When Locke hits level 6, he will put the first point in his Ultimate. At this stage, his damage output and kill pressure will intensify.

At level 9, Locke will max out his Ritual NailsQ, and his damage output and wave clear will be quite high. You need to ensure you’re keeping your distance so he cannot all-in you and kill you.
