Jayce·Jungle Counters

Stealing away Jayce’s camps in the early game is the best way to deny him gold and XP. His build is quite costly, so denying him as much income as possible will be helpful.

Jayce cannot reliably clear his jungle without an early blue buff. You could try to contest this to deny him an effective first clear.

Jayce can easily take objectives like the Grubs and Drakes with or without his team. Make sure they’re always warded to prevent him from taking them easily.

Jayce will try to delay a team fight while he pokes your team down with his Q. Make sure you force a fight as quickly as possible so he is unable to poke you down for free.

If Jayce’s team tries to contest the Baron or Dragon, you need to think strategically and either decide to fight them straight away, finish the objective or back off. The longer you leave it, the more Jayce can poke your team down with his Q.

If Jayce is split pushing in the mid-game, make sure you try to force objectives or fights while he isn’t there.

Jayce is really weak at levels 1, 2 and 3 in the jungle. If you’re a strong invader, you could invade him at level 3 or fight him at level 3 for the crab.

Unlike most Junglers, Jayce doesn’t spike at level 6 as he already has his Ultimate at level 1. Most Junglers will have a strong Ultimate post 6, so make sure you’re being proactive with it.

He is very good in team fights. Make sure you engage as soon as possible so he is unable to poke you down and poke you out of the team fight.
