Jarvan’s level 2 all-in is pretty good. Once he unlocks both his E and Q, he can look for a favourable trade.
Depending on his build path, he can either deal a lot of damage, be incredibly tanky, or offer his team a lot of utility. It all depends on his build! This makes Jarvan incredibly versatile.
His Ultimate R is really good in team fights as it can lock down multiple enemy champions at once.
If Jarvan builds AD, he is going to be very squishy in team fights and will get blown up quickly in team fights. Once he’s gone in, he will need to fully commit to the fight.
To ensure victory, you need to make sure your team is in a position to follow up. If you go in without them, you’re going to die.
Peel, disengage and CC are J4’s biggest weaknesses. He will be unable to use his E and Q combo effectively if the enemy can poke him down, reposition or CC him mid-combo.

Jarvan IV is a strong early game duelist so it should be easy for you to all-in your enemy regularly and keep chunking them in the lane using the lane brushes.
You will have to help your Jungler in case he is near your lane and is trying to take down the Rift Herald. The goal is to make sure that you can use your CC combo effectively regularly.
Getting your Ultimate R will help you a lot in this matchup, especially during the neutral objective fights where you can lock the enemy Jungler down with ease.

Look for picks during the mid-game to get your team ahead. Getting a pick here or there or blowing an enemy Summoner Spell can be more than enough to get a nearby objective.
You may look for opportunities to lane gank your laners to help them get ahead. Only do so when you are ahead though, else your laner will easily take your tower.
During fights, make sure that you use the fog of war to your advantage and keep flanking the enemy team. It will help you dish out tons of damage and will let you take out a key target.

Look for picks on the enemy when they’re out of position. If you can catch out the enemy Support, you can rotate to Baron or Dragon or force a fight with the numbers advantage.
In the late game, you need to call for Baron or the Elder Dragon. Do not die otherwise your team will not be able to secure them and the enemy will take it for free.
Once you’ve gone in, make sure you fall back and peel for your allies. Use your Ultimate R to lock down key targets and then use your E and Q to knock up the enemy on your carries.
Jarvan IV will be unlocking his E > Q combo at level two, which will allow him to catch and CC overextended enemies with utmost ease. This will also let him show extreme prowess during Jungle duels.
Jarvan's first item component will give him a massive boost to his dueling and survivability. He will now be able to put his E Passive to good use, especially if he manages to catch an enemy out on his own.
Jarvan IV will unlock the ability to completely separate an enemy out from their team and lock them down at level 6. It is incredibly beneficial when the main goal is to separate out a single target and get rid of them quickly.
At level 9, Jarvan will get his first ability maxed out. This will give him a massive damage boost, impacting fights at a much higher level.
Once Jarvan gets to level 11, he will put two points into his Ultimate R. This will increase the damage of that ability while simultaneously reducing its cooldown. This will allow Jarvan to look for picks more often.
Jarvan IV is good in team fights due to his E Passive and his ability to CC multiple enemies at a go with his E > Q combo. His Ultimate R will also allow him to single out enemies which need to be dealt with quickly.
At level thirteen, both his Q and E will be maxed out, and he will be able to look for picks more often. The best place to do so will be in the unwarded areas of the map and in choke points.
Once he gets to level 16, he will have 3 points in his Ultimate R. This increases the overall damage output and will let Jarvan use the ability quite often. It will help his team follow up on fights with ease.
Jarvan becomes really tanky during the late game. It not only allows him to be an active engager for his team but also lets him survive all-ins and peel for his carries during significant fights.
