Ezreal Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths

Consistent poke damage with his Essence FluxW and Mystic ShotQ which can allow him to push the enemy laners out of the lane abruptly. This can also allow him to all-in enemies once they are low enough after taking the barrage of poke Ezreal has to offer.

His Ultimate Trueshot BarrageR has a very short cooldown and can be used freely during the early game to waveclear. This is very helpful when he is trying to clear the wave quickly in order to get a recall.

Ezreal’s Arcane ShiftE allows him to get out of sticky situations with ease and makes him one of the safest ADCs in the game. He can also buffer it in response to CC abilities which will allow him to avoid follow up CC if he manages to get hit by the initial CC ability.

Weaknesses

Very squishy and can be easily burst down when his Arcane ShiftE is down. Junglers can camp him at that stage as well since he will have no other form of escape left, and his Arcane ShiftE has a very long cooldown.

Takes quite some time to scale up due to how his itemization works. This is also dependent on the fact that he is very skill shot heavy and will need to land his Mystic ShotQs on the enemy in order to be effective.

Buffering his Arcane ShiftE won’t work too well if the enemy has some form of ranged CC which they can use to follow-up on Ezreal after he has used his Arcane ShiftE. This forces him to play a bit more defensively, and he won’t be able to push in the wave either, else he can get run down by the enemy.

Game plan
Early game
0 - 15 min
Ezreal is Average

Look to stack your Tear as often as possible. The earlier you get it, the better.

Harass and poke the enemy as often as you can with your Mystic ShotQ. Slowly whittle the enemy down with your Mystic ShotQ will increase your chances of winning a followup fight.

Back early once you have enough gold for your first item. Usually, Ezreal will want to recall once he has enough gold for Tear.

Mid game
15 - 25 min
Ezreal is Strong

Once you’ve destroyed the bottom lane tower, move to the mid lane and try to take that objective too.

Try to harass and poke the enemy as often as you can with your Mystic ShotQ. Using your abilities frequently will allow you to stack your Tear quickly too. Getting it stacked in the mid-game is crucial.

Try your best to stick with your Support as much as possible in the late game. If you’re weak, do not leave their side otherwise you’ll be an easy target.

Late game
25+ min
Ezreal is Average

Poke the enemy and harass them as much as you can before looking to fight. Bursting someone down with a few Mystic ShotQ’s and your Trueshot BarrageR will allow you to force a team fight with the numbers or health advantage.

Avoid using your Arcane ShiftE aggressively in late game fights as you’ll be vulnerable briefly. Only use it aggressively if you’re 100% sure you cannot get abused for it.

Stick with your team and avoid walking too far away from them. If you get caught out, your team will lose out on a lot of damage in a team fight, and it would be your fault. Stick with your team as much as possible.

Power Spikes
Early game0 - 15 min

At level 6, Ezreal will unlock his Ultimate Trueshot BarrageR. His Ultimate Trueshot BarrageR is a great tool throughout all stages of the game. It allows him to deal a considerable amount of damage to anyone on the map.

After Ezreal’s first back, he will pick up his first component item. His damage output will intensify and he can look for more aggressive plays once he has it.

When Ezreal completes his Mythic item, his damage output further grows. A good Ezreal will look to poke the enemy down with his Mystic ShotQ before initiating an all-in.

Mid game15 - 25 min

At level 9, Ezreal will max out his Mystic ShotQ. He will be quite strong at this stage of the game thanks to the additional damage his Mystic ShotQ will do and the items he would’ve picked up by then.

Putting the second point in Ezreal’s Ultimate Trueshot BarrageR at level 11 will offer him a lot of extra damage. He will also be able to threaten steals on major objectives like the Baron or Dragons.

Ezreal is really good at poking the enemies down before a fight thanks to his low cooldowns and overall damage. During the mid-game, he will be able to harass and poke the enemy a lot.

Late game25+ min

At level 16, Ezreal will put the third point in his Ultimate Trueshot BarrageR. He will deal a lot of burst damage to anyone who is hit with it in the late game.

When Ezreal is coming to completing his build, he will have incredibly low cooldowns on all of his abilities. This is good for him as he will be able to continue to poke and harass the enemy before a team fight occurs. Also, his Arcane ShiftE will be on a short cooldown which allows him to escape skirmishes easily.

Ezreal is great in the mid-game, but he does start to fall of in the late game as it will be harder for him to kill tanks.
