Roco Kingdom is China's answer to Palworld, and it's finally coming to Western audiences in 2027. The monster-raising series has been running since 2010, hit 200 million registered players by 2015, and its current mainline version, Roco Kingdom: World, pulled in 15 million day-one players when it launched in China this past March. Developer Tencent's Morefun Studios (Arena Breakout) is now rebuilding it as an open-world RPG for a global release.

When does Roco Kingdom release?
Roco Kingdom is confirmed for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X, with no Switch 2 version planned. Morefun says a console launch is new territory for the studio, hence the drop.
The West-wide release is pencilled in for late 2027.
How do you play before then?
A closed beta called the "Quack Quack Test" starts 27th October on PC, iOS, and mobile. Pre-registration is open now on the official site - click here to register!

What is Roco Kingdom?
You play a young mage recruiting "Jinies", creatures with their own behaviour patterns, personalities, and quirks. Some live in packs, some prey on each other, and each one reacts differently to your presence. The Pokémon DNA is obvious: 18 elemental types, four-move limits, EXP split across your team, and an obedience system that punishes over-levelling. But Morefun is pitching it as a full narrative RPG first and a creature collector second, with an open world, housekeeping, and light-hearted PvP resource-raiding layered on top.
