All Modernized Map Changes In Y11S3 - R6S Operation Split Fire

Overview

In Y11S3 of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft introduced a new feature called Targeted Map Updates. What it means is that instead of getting a full rework, maps affected by this change will get meaningful changes to specific parts of the map, instead of getting remade completely.

It has been stated by the developers that every season that does not feature a new map, means that one of the maps is getting those Targeted Updates.

All Map Updates In Y11S3

In this coming season, Ubisoft decided that the maps in need of those Targeted Updates are:

  • Villa - Starting with the mid-season update, Villa’s basement and garage will be slightly re-designed, now serving as a bombsite for defenders. With this change comes the inverse effect for the First Floor Living Room and Library bombsite, which has now been removed.

Perhaps the biggest alteration about the new bombsite is the added space in the previously outside marked garage. The Red Van has been removed, now replaced with a half-box, alongside some soft walls and a barricade. To create more ways to enter the actual bomb site, a hatch above Art Storage has also been added. In order to access this hatch, you need to get to the First Floor, and head to the Skylight Hallway adjacent to the Fireplace.

  • House - A base game map that has been there since the beginning in 2015, and probably the most recognizable map in the whole game gets updated with explosive Gas Pipes, and Fire Extinguishers placed around critical bottlenecks of every floor on the map. Reactive lighting has been added to some places, such as the Gym in the Basement. And lastly a few select props over the map, such as the radio in the Music Room, have received a graphical overhaul with updated textures.

  • Stadium Alpha - A combination of two maps - Hereford Base and Oregon now has all the features from the Siege X update released in 2025. Fire extinguishers and Gas Pipes have been added to multiple choke points within the map, in addition to improved and reactive lighting added to almost all light sources, in part thanks to the engine upgrade brought with Siege X.

  • Stadium Bravo - Stadium Bravo gets the same loving treatment as Alpha, with the same notable improvements made. This of course in reference to the Gas Pipes and Fire Extinguishers added to multiple areas of the map. While these changes might not seem the most groundbreaking, they definitely help bridge the gap between newly reworked maps, and the lesser renovated modernized maps.
