So for this Onimusha Way Of The Sword guide, I'm going to be showing you the locations and how to complete each of the Mysteries Of Kyoto, to achieve the Demystified Trophy.
Note: The very first Mystery Of Kyoto is unmissable as it is part of the main story, this one is called The Light Of Vengeance.
It is recommended that you complete this guide after you have finished The Demon on the Mount main quest line, since some of these Mysteries are only available after this quest. Once you have progressed past this point, all of the Mysteries Of Kyoto will be accessible.
After locating and talking with the man who starts The Blessed Man Mystery, highlight the quest and make your way to the first waypoint.
Make it inside the building where the waypoint takes you to trigger the cutscene, and upon exiting the building, there will be a number of enemies to take on.
After doing so, make your way to the next waypoint. You can always use the Oni Vision to have the sparkles guide you to the next location.
After entering the gates at the next waypoint, you will find the man in the back right corner, talk with him to trigger a cutscene, following this there will once again be number of enemies to take on in this area.
From here, make your way to the next waypoint, around to the right and under two Torii (red and black) gates and into the area where the man will be in the back left corner. Talk with him for another cutscene and following this will be one final fight before the final cutscene to complete this Mystery.
A Wife's Prayer
Making your way to the next Mystery, A Wife's Prayer, as shown on the map below, talk with the ill man inside the house.
This Mystery will take you to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple so make your way to the nearby Spirit Mirror and fast travel to the nearest Sprit Mirror (Nio-mon gate) at the Kiyomizu-dera Temple to the purple circle / objective.
After loading in, make your way up the large stairs to the right and talk with the woman at the top to trigger a cutscene.
From here, advance to the next waypoint, where you will meet a couple on a balcony, and you will talk with the man.
Advance out of the other side of the balcony area and make your way to the next waypoint, which will lead you to a shrine, after arriving, there will be another cutscene.
Following the waypoint after the cutscene, there will be a Rift to seal, defeat the enemies and absorb the Rift upon completion.
Make your way back to the shrine once again for the final series of cutscenes and completion of this Mystery.
Something In The Water
Make your way over to the house as shown below and talk with the boy to begin this Mystery.
Make your way to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and to the central Spirit Mirror teleport.
Similarly to the previous Mystery, head over the large balcony area, only this time following the waypoint to the lady at the bottom of the stairs at the waterfall.
After having the cutscene with her, you will be making your way back up the stairs and to the same alter/shrine you were at for the previous Mystery.
After the cutscene showing the Genma binds on the alter, make your way out of here to where you Sealed the Rift in the previous Mystery. Look back on yourself after making it from under the canopy and look at the roof, you will see the spider to shoot down with your bow, to release this first bind.
Now, make it back down the stairs to the waterfall area and make a right at the bottom of the stairs, you will see the Genma bind over the building here, make it down another small set of stairs and look through the fencing to see the next spider on the water to take down.
Now following the waypoint all the way to the top again to the alter to see that the Genma binds have been released, there will be another small cutscene here.
Now make it back down the stairs to the waterfall area to be greeted by Dokyo. There will be a few enemies to take out here.
Once they are taken care of, you will need to test the water in the waterfall where Dokyo just was, to make sure it is safe again, after the cutscenes, this Mystery will be complete.
Worm-ly Ways
Make your way over to the lady as shown below and talk with her to begin this Mystery.
Following the waypoint along, as soon as you make it to the destination, there will be a few barn type buildings on the right and a small bridge to cross. Immediately right after the bridge is the building you will want to enter to continue the next cutscene and fight scene.
After the fight and following cutscene, make your way to the next waypoint and in through the large gates. After entering, take a left again to come across two more enemies stood by a broken fence to defeat.
After defeating these, crawl through the gap in the fence, where a cutscene will trigger, showing more enemies to defeat.
After defeating these, make your way to the next waypoint, inside the gate will be a bald man to talk with. After defeating the enemies in this area and watching the cutscenes, this Mystery will be complete.
The Faceless
Locate and talk with the blindfolded woman to begin this Mystery.
After talking with her, exit under the Torii (red & black arch) and run in a straight line until you get to a corner with many enemies.
After taking these out, advance around the corner to the next section where there will be archers above to take out, and an enemy on the ground to eliminate. You will need to blow up the wall behind the ground enemy to progress.
There is a treasure back here if you wanted to collect this, after, progress up the boxes to the right of the treasure and head around the the left. At the end of the road will be a tall ladder on the left against bamboo scaffolding, make your way up here.
After crawling inside at the top, drop down from the mezzanine and head outside. Here will be a large gate on the left to open, head through.
After making it through the gate, there will be a number of distressed people, run past these and over the boxes at the back of the area, into the following area to take out the enemies.
After advancing through the area, make it to the corruption wall and use your Oni Power to open it.
From here, make it around into the next room and to the left and into the house where there will be two enemies that are "Faceless".
After defeating these, head out of the other side of the building where there will be one more "Faceless" enemy to take on.
After defeating this final one, there will be a cutscene and this Mystery will be complete.
The Night Parade
Make your way up to the North West part of the map to initiate the Night Parade Mystery, by talking with the woman here.
After making it to the waypoint, search inside the area for a group of Genma that are parading around, they will want defeating.
After defeating these, a new waypoint will appear, do the same thing here as the previous location, arrive, and search for the parading Genma and defeat them.
Upon making your way to the third waypoint, make sure to look for some Hozuki berries for healing, since there is a Byakue boss amongst the enemies parading in this area.
Once these are all taken care of, there will be a cutscene and this will be the completion of this Mystery.
Some Unfinished Monkey Business
Make your way to the final marker on the map and talk with the children to start the Mystery.
After the cutscene, make your way up the large stairs to the waypoint, there will be a cutscene to begin with, followed by two waves of a few enemies to defeat.
After completing both waves, there will be a final cutscene and the Mysteries of Kyoto will be complete!
