Mistfall Hunter Class Tier List

Updated on Aug 16, 2026

Overview

Welcome to our Tier List for Mistfall Hunter!

As with all of our other Tier Lists, we aim to show the best picks in the current meta. In Mistfall Hunter, all classes have their unique niche and can be played effectively, so we recommend sticking with the classes you find most fun to play over following the meta.

The game has just released, and players are still adjusting to the gameplay mechanics, so the meta will be chaotic for a while. Rankings are likely to change as players become more familiar with the maps and learn the abilities of all the Mistfall Hunter classes.

Early findings show that players are often caught off guard by enemies in high ground and invisible foes, and players can't counter ranged kiting. As a result, classes like Shadowstrix, Blackarrow and Sorcerer are great picks right now.

Melee classes, on the other hand, can be more punishing to play as they need to keep track of all enemies in a team fight, and need to reach ranged users to be effective.

This tier list will be updated with the latest findings and a more detailed meta analysis, andmore in-depth class information.

Trio Rankings

The standings below are tailored for Trios. While all classes can be effective, ranged damage dealers like Blackarrow and Sorcerer can keep up constant damage from the backlines, which is often more effective than a melee classes like the Mercenary and Withered Knight. Overall, classes are balanced damage-wise, so the Trio meta comes down to which classes are effective more often and don't get easily countered. See a full breakdown of the tier list below.

Generally, the Seer is a great pick for Trios since it can heal teammates, but it's not recommended for beginners since it has low damage and can be hard to play without a coordinated team.

Shadowstrix is difficult to master, but can win fights on its own if executed correctly. A good Shadowstrix will be S-tier without doubt for PvP encounters. However, this class struggles in PvE boss fights.

S Tier

  • Blackarrow: The go-to for ranged DPS. Can kite enemies and dish out damage from a safe distance or high ground, melting any other classes.
  • Sorcerer: Deals ranged burst damage and AoE spells, but it's difficult to learn and punishing if the spells miss. Great spell versatility, providing utility in all teams.
  • Seer (Reverent): Great pick for Trios since it can heal teammates, but it's not recommended for beginners since it has low damage and requires team coordination to be effective. Excels in prolonged encounters and PvE boss fights.

A Tier

  • Mercenary (Sword & Shield): It features excellent defense and peeling for the team, and is the best frontline class. However, it gets easily kited by ranged classes and can have a difficult time bursting down enemies on its own.
  • Shadowstrix (Dual Blades): Fight-oriented Shadowstrix path that excels at short PvP exchanges. Has a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that focuses exclusively on dealing burst damage and having battle mobility. It has high carry potential on its own, but can struggle in PvE fights.
  • Withered Knight (Polearm & Shield): Defense-focused Withered Knight path that can debuff enemies and buff allies. However, we have found that it falls in a middle ground between the Mercenary (Sword & Shield) and Seer (Reverent), not excelling either as a tank or support for the team.

B Tier

  • Mercenary (Hammer): Features several attacks and Skills with Super Armor, making it great when facing other melee teams. However, its attacks are slow and telegraphed, making it easy for enemies to evade and burst you down. It is great at PvE, however.
  • Withered Knight (Greatsword): Great damage potential, but gets kited by ranged classes and relies on its Parry to catch other melee classes off-guard. It requires high mechanical skills to navigate.
  • Shadowstrix (Dagger): Its utility-oriented Skills require high team coordination, and its PvP potential lacks in comparison to Shadowstrix (Dual Blades).
  • Seer (Blasphemer): High-risk offensive class that relies on the Unleash Zeal effect to be effective. Has an easier time reaching ranged enemies than the Withered Knight and Mercenary, but can struggle against other duelist classes as it is very reliant on its Skill cooldowns.

Solo Rankings

In Solo play, your class will need to be self-sufficient in PvP and PvE alike. Classes like Sorcerer struggle to keep up with difficult PvE encounters, and their Area-of-Effect Skills aren't best used in 1v1 fights.

Overall, Solo play is more chaotic than Trios, so versatile classes are rewarded. Some of the best picks right now are Blackarrow for ranged damage, and Mercenary for melee DPS. The Shadowstrix excels at PvP, but is not effective against PvE bosses.

Support classes like Seer (Reverent) and Withered Knight (Polearm & Shield) struggle in Solo play as they have a low damage output and their support and healing Skills are not as useful as in Trios.

S Tier

  • Shadowstrix (Dual Blades): High-risk, high-reward class. Can use Stealth and dash, allowing it to close distance and escape at any time. Worse than other classes in PvE encounters.
  • Blackarrow: Good at PvP and PvE while dishing out constant damage from afar. A good Blackarrow will kite melee players to death.

A Tier

  • Withered Knight and Mercenary: They are good in most situations, offering the most versatility while being great in PvE. They struggle against ranged classes.
  • Mercenary (Sword & Shield): Great defensive tools to survive PvP encounters, but struggles to finish off enemies. Decent at PvE.
  • Withered Knight (Greatsword): High-skill class that relies on Parry to win PvP encounters, but provides great dueling.
  • Seer (Blasphemer): Heavily dependent on its Unleash Zeal. PvP encounters in Solo are scarce so your chances of having Zeal ready for encounters are higher, posing a real threat. Struggles with PvE boss fights and PvP encounters without it.
  • Sorcerer: Great burst damage and good against melee characters, but struggles more in PvE by themselves. Must keep an eye out for danger all the time.

B Tier

  • Seer (Reverent): Difficult to pick up, and not rewarding in Solo play. Its healing playstyle is not optimized for Solo, and its niche is not suitable for newcomers.
  • Shadowstrix (Dagger): Requires high mechanical skill as it requires hitting all abilities. Utility Skills are difficult to pull off in Solo play.
  • Withered Knight (Polearm & Shield): Its defensive utility Skills are not reliable in Solo mode, and struggles with DPS in PvP and PvE.
