How to Make Money Fast in Mistfall Hunter (PvE)

Overview

Mistfall Hunter is a dark-fantasy PvPvE extraction ARPG from developer Bellring Games. Like most extraction games, when you die out in the mist everything you were carrying goes with you.

The easiest strategy for getting gear back is to buy it on the auction house. Unfortunately, you need a decent chunk of change to afford new gear - especially high end gear - and without a solid stream of Gyldenblood you're unlikely to be able to afford it. You also need gold for many interactions and upgrades in your camp

In this guide we'll share how to make gold quickly and easily in Mistfall Hunter so you can be decked out and fully upgraded in no time!

Mistfall Hunter Gyldenblood Guide

The Set Up

Two things you'll want to set up before embarking: making sure you have the appropriate loadout and choosing the correct match setting.

Loadout

For your loadout, you'll want the Regular and Greed is Good talents. Regular reduces prices at the Merchant in game, and Greed is Good increases the drop rate of gold from NPCs.

Because you won't be PvPing you don't need your best gear but you will still be fighting creatures such as those defending loot chests. Make sure to bring gear that still allows you to kill enemies efficiently - essentially, don't go out in full Legendary gear, but don't be naked either!

On the subject of classes: it does not directly matter what class you choose as combat is is an afterthought for this strategy. That said, your number one priority is making sure you don't die so classes like the Blackarrow with their Frostblight Bomb and Shadowstrix with stealth are good options.

Match Settings

The optimal mode to farm gold is in Chaos Mode. This increases the quality of loot you find, but ups the difficulty as well. Only choose this setting if you are comfortable with this strategy or Mistfall Hunter in general. To begin with, normal is fine.

How to Get Gyldenblood Fast

The strategy is very simple. You want to look for high value auction house items to bring back to base for large profit. The best methods to find these are the following:

  1. Treasure zones
  2. Bargains from Richie the Merchant
  3. Blue quests
  4. World loot

Treasure Zones

The golden outlined areas on the map contain improved loot yields. Hitting the one you spawn closest to is generally a good idea - you can take its offerings before enemy players have time to make their way to contest the spot.

Don't just focus on the chests themselves, however, as good loot can be found in all containers in the game, so make sure to take the time to stop and loot everything!

Richie the Merchant

In the area of the map marked by a coin bag you'll find Richie the Merchant. Richie is a traveling peddler who you can sell your unwanted wares to and, more importantly, buy some great items from for comparatively cheap (especially with the Regular talent).

The main thing to keep an eye out for is high level gear. This tends to yield the greatest levels of profit and can make you rich quick. Additionally, high level materials and even the Potent Healing Elixirs can fill your pockets nicely, just make sure to check the auction house price against the sale price.

Blue Quests

The mid-map tasks are a great way to get your hands on an unidentified piece of loot that can turn into something very valuable. These tasks are often very simple and their objectives are located nearby. For little time investment, you can find yourself with a tidy sum of money, and with enough practice you can memorise each task's objectives as they rotate in and out but do not change.

Be cautious of other players at the task pick up spots - whereas only one player can accept and complete each task at a time, other players may still initially have been drawn to the area.

World Loot

Whereas clearly marked treasure chests and quests are a good way to get guaranteed loot, almost every interactable container in the game has a chance to provide an unidentified item too, and most players will simply skip by them.

As you traverse across the map looking for quests and chests, make sure you interact with every lootable object you come across to maximise your chances of finding good loot.

Tip: taking the Sleight of Hand affix will decrease the time it takes to open objects!

Tips and Tricks

  • Remember that you can get all the spoils in the world but they're only worth something if you can extract with them.
  • Fill Pip's bags with your most valuable items just in case something happens but always play it safe while looting.
  • Don't get greedy! The more time you're out the more likely you are to find trouble, so keep your excursions short and keep yourself safe!
  • Stick to paths around the outside to minimise your chances of finding enemy players.
  • Consumables such as Traps and Keys can help you evade enemy attention.
