Funke — He provides reliable AoE damage, and all three specs are strong and flexible to use. He can easily carry non-boss fights with the right synergies, but even without he's still solid.
Aria – She has power and utility thanks to the combined Burn and
Frost of Requiem Barrage, while also offering excellent
Shield support with
The Harmony.
Tilly — A great unit from the start who can help generate
Shards. She mainly excels in Act 1, but can occasionally function as a
Tank using defensive items plus
Omnivamp from
The Elegant.
Gustav — He fulfills a unique role as a
Tank and
Mystic. While weak early, he has very strong
Shielding once equipped. He can also grant team-wide Mana Regen and
Shards on
Backup.
Pimenta — One of the most flexible
Tank heroes that provides a ton of utility with each spec. She can stack Debuffs, scale Attack Speed, or strengthen her
Poison and defenses.
Rowan — As a dual-class
Tank +
Vanguard, he has great defenses from the start, while also scaling HP throughout the game with
The Friend spec.
Niklas — A very wacky hero due to his item eating mechanic, but has potential to snowball stats under the right cirumstances. Plus at A or S rank as
The Dealer, he can pump out a TON of value.
Karsu — She excels at applying
Frost during boss fights, making her an ideal swap-in from the bench. However, the random targeting of Snowpiercer means she isn't always reliable in hallway fights.
Kai — Has strong burst damage with Resolute Strike, especially with dedicated
Mystic support to provide him more
Shield. Unfortunately, his
Tank spec has greatly worsened after several nerfs.
Ratna — There's huge snowball potential with Starfall, which combines well with all three specs (she can even tank with
Mage Armor). Best used when found early, but still great as a
Backup.
