Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core Tier List: Multiplayer

Updated on May 28, 2026

Intro

Rock and Stone!

Our multiplayer Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core tier list ranks the classes for the multiplayer game mode.

Note that this is based off playing with randoms rather than a full 4-man squad. While there is overlap, note that the Spotter would be S+ tier due to the additional coordination potential.

This tier list is not specifically ordered since the characters in each tier are roughly on the same level.

Be sure to also check out our solo tier list.

S Tier

These are the best characters, they will work in any run to the same value, no matter what, and can only become better by being upgraded during the run itself. They offer very high value to the team or themselves, which makes them even with a shit build, insanely strong.

Spotter

Spotter is currently insane with the value he brings to a team, especially in deeper depths where enemies both become tankier and hit harder. His main value comes from his Crit Dart, and with that, his innate synergy with all crit augments. He can single-handedly give your team double damage vs bosses and elite enemies, which really helps when you are on a timer.

The Radar he gives is fine, it's not game-changing, but it definitely helps when finding what objectives are on the map.

His Ult is very good, especially on bosses and elevator sequences when a ton of enemies come, and you don't have time to find a restock machine.

Because of how his abilities work, he is generally just a monster with the correct upgrades, workbench upgrades, bio enhancers, and eventually artifacts.

Falconer

Falconer is just an all-arounder that can do anything, but is still by far the best as a DPS. She has very good elemental damage because of her Thunder Rod and Shock Drone, both giving her insane shock potential.
This becomes especially cool when you get upgrades that synergize with shock, because she is the only character that can reliably use that without having a specific gun or upgrade for that gun.

Her Shock drone also does great damage and becomes very strong once you have a few workbench upgrades on it.

But in my opinion, her most broken ability is by far her Ultimate, Remove Drone Revive. This allows you to revive a companion from a distance, which cannot be interrupted. This is insanely high value, especially in deeper depths, during waves or boss fights, when getting to allies to revive them without being pummeled by enemies is very hard.

A Tier

A-tier characters are those that either barely miss out on S-tier or need specific things to happen for them to have a high impact. They either rely more on allies than others do, or they need specific upgrades to function properly.

Slicer

Slicer is the true melee character of DRG Rogue Core. His entire kit is centered around it. Unfortunately, he needs some upgrades to either his abilities or melee damage to get on the same level as Falconer and Spotter, who can function without that.

Even though the damage on his Slice ability is solid as a base, it does not do enough to elites and bosses to put him on the same level as the S-tier characters.

He is still very mobile, solid, and good at rushing down enemies, thanks to his serious damage once you get some upgrades going.

Guardian

Where Slicer missed out on S-tier because he relies on upgrades, Guardian relies on teammates. His entire kit is centered around supporting and area control. This means without proper teammates, he doesn't do the most damage from his kit alone. He is all about utility.

If you upgrade his abilities, he becomes better on his own, but by default, they are not good enough to carry a run on his own.

Guardian does have specific upgrade, workbench, and artifact combos that can make him insanely durable eventually, but this requires time.

Because of these reasons, he barely misses out on S tier.

B Tier

The B-tier is, in this case, reserved for one singular character that is unfortunately just below the rest.

Retcon

Retcon is not bad. She's just the worst multiplayer character currently in the game compared to the rest.

There are a couple of reasons for that:

  1. She brings no utility to the team. Her only utility is a get out of jail free card, which still doesn't guarantee that the value matters.
  2. Her abilities focus on 2 things, meaning it's kinda spread thin. One focuses on survivability with her Rewind Time. The other focuses on damage with her Rage. This means she kinda loses out on both because she is a tanky DPS that is just worse than the other DPS.
  3. All her abilities only apply to herself. This mostly goes into that Spotter's crits and radar work for the rest, Falconer's too, but Retcon is just all about herself. And in a team game, that's where she really loses out on her value because of that.
