Crimson Moon: Best Immortal Tank Build

Crimson Moon can punish a single mistake, especially when you are fighting elite enemies or attempting to complete a full run. This Immortal Tank build makes the game much more forgiving by stacking health, mana and defense while using ranged Weapon Arts to safely deal with the most dangerous enemies.

The aim is to reach each boss with your lives intact, plenty of mana and a full Angelic Grace meter. You can then activate Angel Ascension and gradually wear the boss down without relying on perfectly timed parries.

The Immortal Tank build features three core Boons, Divine Reservoir, Radiant Fortitude and Reaper’s Respite. These should be supported by additional healing, mana recovery and defensive Boons whenever suitable options appear.

Divine Reservoir

Divine Reservoir increases your maximum mana, allowing you to use ranged Weapon Arts more frequently. This is essential when fighting elites because it lets you safely attack from a distance instead of risking your health in close combat.

Radiant Fortitude

Radiant Fortitude increases your maximum health, making missed parries, unexpected attacks and general chip damage less punishing. Continue collecting it during the run to make your character increasingly difficult to kill.

Reaper’s Respite

Reaper’s Respite restores health whenever you defeat an enemy. This turns weaker opponents into a reliable source of healing and helps preserve your health flask for elite enemies and bosses.

Once you have these core Boons, look for additional healing, mana recovery and defensive effects that complement the build. Offensive Boons can also help, but preserving your health, mana and lives should remain the priority.

Successful parries generate Angelic Grace, which is required to activate Angel Ascension. However, attempting to parry every enemy is an easy way to lose health and lives.

Use weaker enemies with slow, predictable attacks to safely build your Angelic Grace. These opponents are much easier to read and give you a better opportunity to practice your parry timing.

When fighting elites or bosses, rely more heavily on blocking, movement and ranged Weapon Arts. There is no reason to risk a difficult parry when you can build your Angelic Grace against basic enemies instead.

Following this approach should allow you to reach each boss with a full Angelic Grace meter ready for Angel Ascension.

Elite enemies are among the biggest threats you will encounter during a run. Although it can be tempting to use Angel Ascension against them, you should preserve it for the boss whenever possible.

Equip two weapons with strong ranged Weapon Arts. Fire the first ability, switch to your other weapon while it is on cooldown and activate the second. Continue alternating between them while moving away from the elite.

Look for abilities such as Bleed projectiles or homing projectiles, as these allow you to attack elites safely from a distance.

Save most of your mana for elites and enemies that are difficult to approach or parry. Basic enemies can normally be defeated in melee while you build Angelic Grace and recover health through Reaper’s Respite.

Look for a shield with 100% Block Amount to complete the build’s defensive setup.

Blocking is a much safer response to attacks you are not confident parrying. This is particularly useful against elites and bosses with delayed attacks, unfamiliar animations or long combinations.

Parrying is still important for generating Angelic Grace, but it should mainly be used against weaker enemies. When a missed parry could cost you a life, raise your shield instead and wait for a safer opportunity to attack.

The entire build is designed around preserving health and lives, so you do not need to gamble on perfect parry timing during every encounter.

Whenever you find equipment containing Divine Reservoir, Radiant Fortitude, Reaper’s Respite or a useful ranged Weapon Art, consider keeping it for purification.

Do not ignore an important item simply because it has a low rarity. Purifying an item permanently unlocks it in your Collection at Common quality, after which you can take it to Gajov and increase its minimum quality.

Upgrading the equipment you regularly use provides stronger base stats and ensures that it can appear at a higher minimum quality during future runs. This gradually strengthens your starting loadout and allows the Immortal Tank build to come together much earlier.

Avoid spending all your Gold on random equipment simply because it currently has a higher rarity. Prioritise the pieces that provide the Boons and Weapon Arts the build actually needs.

Ideally, you should reach the boss with all your lives intact, plenty of mana and a full Angelic Grace meter. This is where all the resources you preserved during the mission finally pay off.

Activate Angel Ascension during a safe damage window and use it to deal as much damage as possible. Afterwards, continue rotating between your ranged Weapon Arts while blocking or moving away from dangerous attacks.

Do not force risky parries or remain close to the boss for too long. Create distance, heal whenever necessary and wait for safe opportunities to deal damage.

Boss fights become battles of attrition with this build. Your large health and mana pools allow you to survive for longer than the boss can maintain pressure, making even difficult encounters much more forgiving.
