Chanter
The
Chanter is a hybrid support DPS class that provides strong buffs to the party, light healing, and solid damage. Most consider this class to be the jack of all trades.
They are versatile in PvE combat, from lower-star dungeons to open-world content; a good Chanter can keep a group stable even without a dedicated healer, making them fit into most teams.
They have both melee and long-range damage skills, as well as support skills for healing and buffing you and your allies. Although the Chanter is primarily a DPS class, they still have protective spells that give them much more survivability than some of your other DPS roles.
The buffs that the party receives from
Undefeated Mantra are more than enough reason to place Chanter this high in the rankings.
Cleric
The
Cleric is a ranged support class that specializes in providing heals, adding damage reduction debuffs against enemies, and also providing some damage themselves.
This class is essential for any end-game dungeon or end-game PvE content, as they currently serve as the only “true” support class. The mass heal output they provide is essential to have in every party.
Clerics also have surprisingly decent damage output alongside useful buffs, making them invaluable teammates for a group. When paired with a Templar, their sustain and durability can create a highly durable duo that will tank through any boss fight.
Templar
Templar is the only dedicated “true” tank class in Aion 2. They are extremely durable and can provide many defensive supports to any team.
Templars provide stronger Enmity control, unique active block mechanics, and better group buffs than their Gladiator counterpart, making it the preferred frontline pick for the hardest boss fights and other PvE content.
Since the Templar is a tank class, they do have lower damage output against some endgame content, which can make certain encounters when playing solo take a little while to clear. That being said, they still provide a decent damage output similar to Clerics.

Sorcerer
Sorcerer is a DPS class best known for their huge AoE burst damage. They also have a wide variety of skills that allow them to adapt to almost any situation.
Their glass-cannon playstyle requires safe positioning before you can burst down enemies; however, their basic skill rotation is one of the easier ones to learn for newer players. Any player who can position themselves properly will decimate enemies and provide huge amounts of damage for any party, making them an essential DPS role in PvE group content.
One thing to note is that this class can struggle in certain higher-end PvE content because the Sorcerer can be vulnerable to burst damage. If you’re not paying attention to your positioning, damage you take can prove more fatal compared to other classes in your party.
Gladiator
The
Gladiator is one of the more popular classes for Aion 2. Though primarily a frontline melee DPS class, Gladiators can also act as an off-tank when groups are lacking a dedicated tank, allowing for greater flexibility in group content.
This class performs reliably in open-world PvE and rounds out any party in dungeon-based content. They provide consistent DPS, the ability to chain crowd control effects on enemies, and good survivability.
Their focus on an aggressive playstyle that can take on most types of content in a solo perspective, paired with having an easier skill rotation, is perfect for new players who want to feel impactful, but also for end-game veterans who want to dish out high amounts of damage with steady, consistent output.

Spiritmaster
The
Spiritmaster is a pet-caster DPS class that offers consistent sustained DoT damage, crowd control, and self-sustainability. Their primary damage comes from cycling through different elemental pets that fight alongside them, allowing some of the aggro to be pulled off the player.
Spiritmasters also have better survivability than pure casters like Sorcerers, making it comfortable for open-world questing; however, one reason they’re rated so low is because of their damage output. A good Spiritmaster can provide large amounts of crowd control and damage for a party; it’s just that the damage itself is dealt over time, leaving you with far less burst for certain boss mechanics that require a faster damage output.
This class also lacks any sort of movement ability, punishing players more heavily for poor positioning. That being said, Spiritmasters are still arguably one of the best picks for PvE-focused players, offering a consistent stream of damage and crowd control. Just don’t expect this class to burst anything down quickly in late-game content.
Ranger
The
Ranger is a ranged DPS class that focuses on long-distance attacks and good damage output. They have a diverse yet simple skill set, with skills that help keep enemies at a distance. Because of their range, it makes PvE Encounters much easier to manage.
They offer consistent sustained damage and have mechanics that are straightforward to learn, allowing for both new players and veterans to enjoy them; However, like most ranged DPS classes, the Ranger has poor survivability, so positioning is super important for group-based PvE content.
Lastly, while their mechanics are simple to learn, even a strong Ranger can perform poorly if the player makes a basic mistake in their combat rotation, leaving you dissatisfied with your damage numbers.
Assassin
The
Assassin is Aion 2’s burst melee DPS class, dealing high single-target burst damage while also possessing strong mobility mechanics. They excel at eliminating vulnerable targets; however, their focus on single-target burst damage makes them less effective for PvE content.
The Assassin is one of the harder classes to learn and use, as good timing is required to perform well, and it has a far more complicated skill rotation compared to other classes, which can discourage newer players.
While Assassins can provide substantial single-target damage and are valuable to a party for their high DPS output, in situations where clearing larger groups of enemies is essential, classes that can deal with multiple targets simultaneously tend to be more effective. This limitation can hinder the Assassin’s utility in many PvE scenarios.
