This guide will help you maximize your Mythic loot, as well as getting more Iconic Mythics to complete your build. In this we will discuss:
Before you get started on farming Mythic items, first you will need to farm up a decent amount of Superior Lair Keys, and this method right here is actually pretty quick. You are going to want to open up some Nightmare Dungeons with the Ruptures Dungeon Affix.
You are going to want to do the ruptures in the dungeon, closing 15 tears to open up a Deathtoll Chamber. Go ahead and enter it, and then complete the event to get your Superior Lair Keys. From here, collect your loot and your Keys, and you can opt out of completing the Nightmare Dungeon to run another one, but you do not have to if you wish to complete it. However, choosing to leave to run the next one to open up another Deathtoll Chamber is more optimal if you are looking for speed.
Another way for Superior Lair Key farming:
Since the 3.1.1 Server Hotfix, Superior Lair Keys have been added to the Glints of Hope repeatable cache. Running the Ruptures in Helltides is a sure way to gain plenty of reputation for Glints of Hope, to collect many extra caches. You will also be collecting Glints of Hope while running Ruptures in Nightmare Dungeons, but not as quickly as in the Helltides. Remember, if you can, use up to three Profane Mindcages while farming in the Helltides to maximize your drops.
To maximize your reputation gain, make sure that you have the maximum amount of Smoldering Ashes spent in your Season Journey, Season Blessings on "Urn of Death Awakening" which will boost the amount of reputation gained from all sources, so that you can collect more caches.
There are a few things on your War Plans to maximize your Lair Keys, and also your loot for when you start running bosses for Mythics.
For Helltides:
You will want to ensure you have the Writhe and Rot node selected, as this will have more Lair Keys dropping for you while running the Helltides. This is the second node, straight down the middle after Hellmouth. Also be sure to have the Meat Brothers node selected on the tree, as this will help you collect more Profane Mindcages to add more Monster Power to maximize your loot drops.
For Lair Bosses:
The first node on the Lair Bosses War Plans tree that you will want to go for will be Lair of Plenty. This will give +1 to Monster Power, but also give you a second chest to open up, which gives you double the chances of getting Mythics.
After you have gotten this node, then you will want to work towards the Greater Nemesis node as this will give you a chance to have a portal appear that takes you to a Greater Nemesis Lair. This has a chance to be quite rewarding at times!
Now that you have a collection of Superior Lair Keys, it is time to start the real Mythic farm! With the 3.1.1 Server Hotfix changes, getting Mythic items is going to be a much smoother and rewarding process.
For Season 14, Death Awakening, the Corrupted Reaper has a boosted chance of dropping Mythic items after Patch 3.1.1a. This will probably be the most optimal place for you to farm for Mythic items. For Torment X or higher, you have an increased chance of getting a Mythic item and Torment XII you have a guaranteed chance to drop a Mythic item. This will be the best area to spend all of your Superior Lair Keys.
After Patch 3.1.1 Server Hotfix, the Mythic Tribute of Armaments now has an increased chance to drop Mythic items. You can find these by collecting caches from the Tree of Whispers (specifically the caches that reward dungeon keys), defeating the World Boss, or fighting Lair Bosses such as Lord Zir, Grigoire and Beast in the Ice and opening their Treasure Hoards. You can make these in the cube by combining 5 Legendary Tributes of Armaments together.
