Diablo 4 Season 10: Everything You Need To Know

News
Updated on Sep 17, 2025
Sep 17, 2025

Overview

Diablo 4 Season 10 is right around the corner, launching on September 23rd, 2025. It's known as the "Season of Infernal Chaos", and brings several new mechanics based on this Chaos theme.

Players will experience permanent updates to both the Eternal and Seasonal Realms, so no matter which you prefer, Season 10 brings something new.

diablo 4 season 10 overview

Seasonal Questline

Disturbing events have been happening in Ked Bardu, so it's up to the players to uncover the root of the threat.

You'll meet an assassin named Shyan, part of the "order of the Viz-Jaq'taar", who is responsible for taking on these corrupted foes.

The "Sands of Chaos" Questline begins in Ked Bardu.

Infernal Hordes

Internal Offerings have been reworked to make your individual choices more meaningful, with the goal of providing a more balanced experience.

Note: With the exception of the "Fleeting Hordes", these changes are permanent updates to the game, and won't go away after the Season ends.

Chaos Waves

A standard wave will occasionally be replaced by a Chaos Wave, creating an encounter with increased intensity and randomized rules. While significantly tougher, they'll also reward you with more Aether for your troubles.

Chaos Monsters

These enemies provide shrine-like buffs when defeated. Plus, if you happen to slay another one before the previous buff expires, the two buffs stack!

The Fell Council

One member will be designated as the Council Speaker, improving their abilities in combat.

Bartuc, Lord of Chaos

At the end of the run, you'll be presented with the choice to take on Bartuc instead of the Fell Council. While certainly a greater challenge, the rewards will likely be worth it.

Fleeting Hordes

A toned-down variant of the Infernal Hordes that's accessible during the early game. You'll take on four waves before facing off against two members of the Fell Council.

Chaos Armor

Chaos Armor is a new variant of Uniques that messes with the usual mechanics of the game.

Existing Uniques are reimagined into different slots, providing players the opportunity to craft builds that weren't previously possible.

diablo 4 season 10 chaos armor comparison

Chaos Armor can only appear in the following slot types:

  • Helm
  • Chest
  • Gloves
  • Pants
  • Boots

You'll always receive Chaos variants at their maximum power, and they'll also provide at least one Greater Affix.

Each one will be stronger than their regular iterations, but keep in mind that you may only have one of each Unique equipped at a time.

(You can't equip both regular/Chaos variants of the same Unique at once.)

Similar to other Seasonal Powers of the past, Chaos Perks modify the abilities of your character.

These exist in four rarities; Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique.

Players may equip up to four Chaos Perks at a time, but only one of these can be of Unique rarity, as they are sure to redefine your build.

diablo 4 season 10 chaos perks

Each class has access to 16 different perks, four of which are class-exclusive. Here's a complete list of what's to come!

Class Agnostic

Magic

Invigorating Attacks: Every 5 seconds, your next Basic Skill generates an additional 50-100% of your Maximum Primary Resource, but your Basic Skills deal 30% reduced damage.

Accelerating Chaos: Lucky Hit: Damaging an enemy has up to a 10% chance to trigger a Chaotic Burst on the enemy, dealing 200-400% damage. Your Chaotic Bursts that hit an enemy reduce a random active Cooldown by 0.5 seconds.

Unstable Power: Chaotic magics erupt from your Basic Skills, making them guaranteed to Critically Strike and Overpower for 50-100% increased damage, but the power is unstable, giving them a 3 second cooldown.

Rare

Erupting Chaos: Chaotic Bursts randomly erupt around you, dealing 200-400% damage of your highest damage type. Your Chaotic Bursts also deal 100% of their initial damage over 4 seconds.

Power Siphon: Your Core Skills deal 50-100% increased damage, but also reduce your Maximum Current Resource by 20 for 6 seconds. This reduction stacks but does not refresh.

Alternating Alterations: Casting a Corse Skill empowers your next non-Channeled Cast of a different Core Skill, refunding 50% of its Resource cost and dealing 10-30% increased damage.

Legendary

Marred Guard: You can no longer be healed above 50% Life. You gain 5-10% Maximum Resistance to All Elements, 10-20%[x] Armor, and 50-100% increased Barrier and Fortify Generation.

Chaotic Cooldowns: Casting a Skill with a Cooldown will randomly set its Cooldown between 2 seconds and its base cooldown. You no longer benefit from Cooldown Reduction. Using a Cooldown unleashes a Chaotic Burst, dealing 300-500% damage of your highest damage type.

Crazy Brew: Your Healing Potion is infused with the power of Chaos, granting you 100% Resource Cost Reduction, 40-80%[+] increased Attack Speed and 40-80[+] increased Movement Speed for 5 seconds. Your Healing Potion has a 15 second Cooldown and you can drink it at full Life. Cooldown is now affects by Cooldown Reduction.

Your Chaotic Bursts gain 30%[+] Critical Strike Chance, and deal 100-200%[x] increased damage.

The boss gains a five-second shield when they reach 2/3 and 1/3 life.

  • At 2/3 life, the shield is 1/3 of the boss' max life.
  • At 1/3 life, the shield is 2/3 of the boss' max life.

Players that break the shield within five seconds can prevent the boss from becoming invulnerable entirely.
