Diablo 4 Season 10 is right around the corner, launching on September 23rd, 2025. It's known as the "Season of Infernal Chaos", and brings several new mechanics based on this Chaos theme.
Players will experience permanent updates to both the Eternal and Seasonal Realms, so no matter which you prefer, Season 10 brings something new.
Seasonal Questline
Disturbing events have been happening in Ked Bardu, so it's up to the players to uncover the root of the threat.
You'll meet an assassin named Shyan, part of the "order of the Viz-Jaq'taar", who is responsible for taking on these corrupted foes.
The "Sands of Chaos" Questline begins in Ked Bardu.
Infernal Hordes
Internal Offerings have been reworked to make your individual choices more meaningful, with the goal of providing a more balanced experience.
Note: With the exception of the "Fleeting Hordes", these changes are permanent updates to the game, and won't go away after the Season ends.
Chaos Waves
A standard wave will occasionally be replaced by a Chaos Wave, creating an encounter with increased intensity and randomized rules. While significantly tougher, they'll also reward you with more Aether for your troubles.
Chaos Monsters
These enemies provide shrine-like buffs when defeated. Plus, if you happen to slay another one before the previous buff expires, the two buffs stack!
The Fell Council
One member will be designated as the Council Speaker, improving their abilities in combat.
Bartuc, Lord of Chaos
At the end of the run, you'll be presented with the choice to take on Bartuc instead of the Fell Council. While certainly a greater challenge, the rewards will likely be worth it.
Fleeting Hordes
A toned-down variant of the Infernal Hordes that's accessible during the early game. You'll take on four waves before facing off against two members of the Fell Council.
Chaos Armor
Chaos Armor is a new variant of Uniques that messes with the usual mechanics of the game.
Existing Uniques are reimagined into different slots, providing players the opportunity to craft builds that weren't previously possible.
Chaos Armor can only appear in the following slot types:
Helm
Chest
Gloves
Pants
Boots
You'll always receive Chaos variants at their maximum power, and they'll also provide at least one Greater Affix.
Each one will be stronger than their regular iterations, but keep in mind that you may only have one of each Unique equipped at a time.
(You can't equip both regular/Chaos variants of the same Unique at once.)
All Uniques Available in Chaos Form
Note: New Uniques post-PTR will be highlighted.

Chaos Rifts
Chaos Rifts can be found within Helltide and Nightmare Dungeons, and provide an assortment of rewards to those who can defeat the demons and seal them away.
This will be a source of seasonal reputation and Infernal Warp, the latter which is required for leveling-up your Chaos Perks.
Chaos Perks
Similar to other Seasonal Powers of the past, Chaos Perks modify the abilities of your character.
These exist in four rarities; Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique.
Players may equip up to four Chaos Perks at a time, but only one of these can be of Unique rarity, as they are sure to redefine your build.
Each class has access to 16 different perks, four of which are class-exclusive. Here's a complete list of what's to come!
Class Agnostic
Magic

Unstable Power: Chaotic magics erupt from your Basic Skills, making them guaranteed to Critically Strike and Overpower for 50-100% increased damage, but the power is unstable, giving them a 3 second cooldown.
Rare

At 1/3 life, the shield is 2/3 of the boss' max life.
