Build Overview

The zDPS Barbarian build is designed to be used as support for pushing high level content inside the Pits, Tower and Torment 6 & 7 bosses in Season 12. This build is not designed to do damage, it will be used to buff other classes to increase their damage beyond what would normally be capable.

When choosing your Barbarian Weapon Expertise Technique, you do not have to be using the weapon of the Weapon Expertise Technique you chose.

Example:

  • Expertise chosen is Polearm - 15%(x) increased Lucky Hit Chance and you deal 15(x) increased damage while healthy
  • Arsenal Selection: Mace - Lucky Hit: Chance to gain 5 Fury when hitting an enemy. Double the amount of Fury gained while Berserking and you deal 15(x) Critical Strike Damage while Berserking.

With the above set up, you gain the Weapon Expertise Technique bonus of having your Arsenal Selection set to Two-Handed Mace, as well as the Weapon Expertise Technique bonus for the Polearm Technique.

Rupture will be set to Two-handed Sword

Variant Set-ups

Unique Variant

This build is all about having the most survivability possible, to keep all the monsters on you, while buffing the damage oriented characters in your party. That's why we are using the Godslayer Crown to pull monsters to us. It has a huge range, and will continue to pull every time we attempt to crowd control a monster. Challenging Shout counts as crowd control, and it also taunts monsters so they attack you. Whirlwind will have the Two-handed Sword selected so that you can use Furious Whirlwind to apply Bleed to activate Hamstring. This also acts as crown control, activating Godslayer Crown.

With Rage of Harrogath using Furious Whirlwind also helps to lower our Cooldowns so that we can keep on constantly casting Challenging Shout to taunt monsters to us. It will also help reset the Cooldown of Wrath of the Berserker, which will also act as a pull for you on top of Godslayer Crown.

We're running Temerity for Barrier to help keep us alive.

Fields of Crimson is where we start to buff other players. Any time we damage an enemy with Rupture it will drop a pool of blood on the ground, increasing the damage that enemies take from all players in the group. On top of that, casting War Cry will also help boost other players damage as well.

Mythic Variant

This build only runs one Mythic to help increase your life through Doombringer.

Found a Mythic and want to know if it's useable? Is this Mythic usable with my build video?
