Our main gear mechanic will be maintaining constant Spirit regeneration. That’s why with Tibault's Will you will be able to regenerate Spirit whenever you become Unstoppable. This is possible thanks to this modifier Unstoppable Earthen Bulwark, and we will activate Earthen Bulwark through Igni - Que. It is the most optimal way to survive while also regenerating resources

With this, we’ll be able to sustain the following skills very well without our Spirit dropping to the ground Superinfection Rabies Derecho Hurricane Hero of the Storm Lightning Storm

Another crucial item for lowering our resource costs will be Ring of Starless Skies

Writhing Aspect will be very important for increasing our DoT damage. That’s why we’ll use a two-handed weapon of any type. The important thing is having good affixes to deal more damage

For defenses, Aspect of Disobedience will be crucial for surviving longer. It’s one of the best defensive aspects for these kinds of DoT builds since they synergize directly

Our Wildheart Hunger boots are crucial because they increase the damage of Rabies by 150%

The Aspect of Elemental Fate is a huge addition to our Poison damage. It’s somewhat RNG-based, but when we get the right stacks, our damage can increase by up to 360%

2-Piece Bonus

While in Werebear form, every time you take or deal damage you gain a stack of Stoicism.
Each stack increases your damage by 2%, and it can stack up to 40 times.

That means:

  • At maximum stacks, you gain up to 80% increased damage.
  • The stacks last 15 seconds, so during combat they are very easy to maintain.
  • While Berserking, you gain 2 stacks instead of 1, allowing you to ramp up much faster.

This bonus is the foundation of the set because it constantly rewards aggressive gameplay and greatly boosts our overall damage output.

3-Piece Bonus

This bonus provides a massive defensive layer while in Werebear form.

You gain:

  • 25% Damage Reduction while transformed into a Werebear.
  • An additional 10% Damage Reduction while Berserking.

This greatly improves survivability, especially in high-end content where DoT builds usually struggle to stay tanky during long fights.

Since this build spends most of the time in Werebear form and frequently maintains Berserking, this defensive bonus has nearly permanent uptime.


5-Piece Bonus

Once you reach 40 stacks of Stoicism, you enter a powerful state called Rampage for 10 seconds.

During Rampage:

  • Your Werebear Skills deal 225% bonus damage.
  • You become larger.
  • You can move Unhindered through enemies.
  • Enemies you move through are Knocked Down.

This is the main power spike of the set.

The massive 225% damage bonus is what makes the set so powerful for Rabies setups that convert their damage into huge direct hits. Since Rabies can function as a Werebear Skill in this build, the set massively amplifies its final damage output.

The mobility and crowd control effects are also extremely useful for maintaining pressure during combat and improving overall gameplay flow.

Hero of the Storm Lightning Storm will only be used to activate Calm Before the Storm It will be a way to reset Grizzly Rage

Earthen Bulwark will not be on our skill bar since it activates through the Igni - Que runes. However, we still assign points into it to increase its bonuses

Debilitating Roar will help us reduce enemy damage

Cyclone Armor will be used on our skill bar to pull enemies into one spot and improve the damage of Rabies. What I mean is optimizing it as much as possible to infect more enemies at the same time, since this modifier Superinfection Rabies only affects one enemy

Hurricane will be used to weaken enemies, which will reduce the damage they deal to us

Rabies is our main skill for dealing damage. We need the werebear form this time

Grizzly Rage is a great ultimate that, besides giving us a very high damage increase, also grants us armor, allowing us to survive longer in battle

Paragon Board

On the first board, we’ll start with Fang and Claw. This glyph will give us more damage against nearby enemies.

Our next board, Survival Instincts, will give us more damage while in Werebear form, and that is active all the time. The Keeper glyph increases our non-physical damage by 15%, so it benefits our Poison damage since it is non-physical

Heightened Malice increases the damage we deal to poisoned enemies. And the Tracker glyph improves the efficiency of our DoT by increasing the duration of the effect

Sinister Tendrils is Contricting Tendrils in-game. This node increases our damage by 40%. On top of that, it also contributes to Poisoning, increasing our DoT even further

Finally, we have Ancestral Guidance, which increases our damage by 40% when spending Spirit, meaning it is active all the time. The glyph here will be Bane, which is mandatory for increasing our poison damage

The glyph here will be Headhunter, which increases our Willpower and damage against Elites. Yes, the defenses are wrong there, you can replace it with Werebear

How it Plays

Before entering battle, we activate Hero of the Storm Lightning Storm. This will be in Human form, so we won’t be able to activate it during Grizzly Rage

Then, activate Hurricane to apply the Weakened effect to enemies. You will be able to use this skill during Grizzly Rage

Activate Grizzly Rage and start casting Rabies nonstop on your enemies. Positioning is key, since Cyclone Armor will pull enemies together to optimize our damage. Keep infecting enemies, then move around them to position yourself properly. This will also help you avoid certain attacks in the game, such as explosions

How it Works

Rabies is a skill that scales with DoT damage. Because of that, Attack Speed and Critical Strike won’t be useful in this build. That’s why we will boost its damage with the following aspects

Writhing Aspect This aspect increases our damage by 240% since we will have it on a two-handed weapon. This creates perfect synergy with our DoT build

Superinfection Rabies is a Core Skill, which means it costs resources — 30 Spirit. That’s why the most comfortable way to play this version is with Tibault's Will, which will give us resource generation while Unstoppable. And this happens thanks to Unstoppable Earthen Bulwark which will activate through Igni - Que

On top of that, this will help us maintain Derecho Hurricane, which also spends Spirit, as well as Hero of the Storm Lightning Storm

To finish solving our resource generation, Gift of the Stag will help us passively, while Ring of Starless Skies reduces our resource cost by 50%
