Build Overview

This is the #1 sorc build by my friend Zaramos.

Firewall Blizzard Sorcerer is a high-end burning build built around Ring of Fire. Blizzard itself is not the main damage source — it is used to generate an enormous number of hits, which repeatedly trigger burning damage that scales from Firewall. The build combines Blizzard, Ice Spikes, Unstable Currents and multiple conjurations to create constant hit spam while Firewall provides the actual damage scaling.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • #1 Pusher
  • Insane Damage
  • Fun
  • Kinda Slow (Can Swap To Aurabot For Farming)

Build Variants

  • Highest damage
  • Built for Tower / leaderboard pushing
  • More unique-heavy and therefore squishier
  • Requires stronger mana sustain and cooldown management

This pushing variant is squishy AF and designed for high end Tower pushing - you have been warned !

From Zaramos To Maximize Pushing:

To get more damage you have to sacrifice more defense. Coming from Blizzard (not being able to run Raiment of the Infinite), I was already used to being very, very squishy. This way I learned which elite affixes and bosses are especially deadly. With this knowledge I dropped Elemental Attunement to get more damage from another Offensive Aspect. These are the overtuned affixes to watch out for: Instant skip:

  • Reprisal

Needs smart positioning and cautiousness:

  • Corrupted Orbs
  • Electrified Obelisks
  • Lightning Enchanted
  • Fire Enchanted
  • Earthquake

Ideally you want to kill an elite every 30 seconds, lining up perfectly with the Templers 90% damage reduction bubble. For me it was a gamechanger to have him cast the bubble once I press Unstable Currents. I try to activate it once the elitepack is gathered and becomes unstoppable for the first time (When they tent to start casting their abilities).

What is the rotation?

  • Hold down Blizzard
  • spam Ice Armor (Hydra Enchant and Familars should reset it quickly)
  • Teleport at least every 8 seconds to get the damage reduction buff from Raiment
  • Try to only move with Teleport to keep up the 75% damage buff from the Aspect of Inner Calm
  • Lay down a Firewall every 2.6 seconds or once you moved out of one (do not overspam it on trash)
  • keep up to 5 Familiars up (do not overspam them on trash)Optimising the damage output:

Optimizing Damage Output When Leaderboard Pushing

Try to engage fresh elitepacks in 30 second intervals. The Templers protection bubble is just one reason. But there is more to it: With this build you do most of your damage while Unstable Currents is active. You want to kill the elitepack within its duration most optimally and then reset it while moving to the next pack. This way it increases the chances for the bonus elites at the 2, 4, 6 and 8 minute mark to spawn on top of a freshly engaged pack, greatly increasing your efficiency.

Fishing for a Power Pylon for the boss: The 4th pylon has a 1/3 chance to be a Power Pylon. It will spawn depending on you progress (between 75-90% completion). Do not kill any monsters around it and move on. Get you bar filled to 95% and come back to the pylon and spawn the boss on top of it. While damaging the boss you will also passively "free" the pylon. Having a second "enemy" also helps with your cooldown resets. Timing is everything: Only take the Power Pylon when your Unstable Currents is ready and you just got hit by a boss attack (for the 2x multiplier from Blood-Mad's Idol). The boss being staggered is a bonus. If you are not sure if you can survive a boss attack, wait for the Templers bubble to be ready, press Unstable Currents and take a hit when the bubble is active. After 8 seconds you ideally want to get hit again to reapply the buff. Some bosses leave ground effects that you can "dip in" to get damaged.

Optimising resources:

Consuming 40 mana per cast, Blizzards is very manahungry especially near the attackspeed cap. Therefore Tibaults Will or at least Static Surge are a requirement. On top of that you want 1 or more manareg rolls on your gear and maybe even the "Unleash" Glyph on top for another 25% manaregeneration. You can also add 1 or more Lucky Hit to restore Resource tempers on your jewellery sacrificing cooldown reduction. For me 80 mana per second (in combat) was enough to permanently cast blizzard at the attackspeed cap.

Attackspeed Breakpoints:

I manually tested the 2 highest attackspeed breakpoints for blizzard using a 1.2 weapon and a 1.1 weapon (Orsivane):

For Wands and Daggers these are the last 2 Breakpoints: 22 Frames per attack (2.727 attacks per second): 87.5%+

21 Frames per attack (2.857 attacks per second): 96.5%+

For Swords and Maces (Orsivane especially) these are the last 2 Breakpoints:

23 Frames per attack (2.609 attacks per second): 86.5%+

22 Frames per attack (2.727 attacks per second): 95.3%+
