How it Plays

We’ll be using the rune POC-QUE, since it gives us Earthen Bulwark all the time while we’re spending resources — meaning while casting Landslide — and having this rune active all the time makes us practically immortal.
Therefore, I always recommend casting Landslide constantly to keep this rune active.
So how do we start when pushing the Pit?
Activate Cataclysm first, and then start casting Landslide at enemies — that simple.
We also have Cyclone Armor to pull mobs together, which is another way to optimize damage, and believe me, it works a lot.
We’ll also have Earthen Bulwark — if it’s not active, we can activate it ourselves.
These will be all the skills we’ll have on our bar.
In summary: cast Landslide as much as possible to keep Earthen Bulwark active all the time and also deal as much damage as possible.

How it Works

We’ll start with Gathlen’s Birthright.
This unique helm gives us the benefit of being able to use two passives at the same time, Perfect Storm and Earthen Might.
These two passives will serve our build well, since by using our third passive, Nature’s Fury, the free-cast skill, which will be Lightning Storm, counts as both Earth and Storm — therefore it will benefit from all three passives at once thanks to this unique helm.
So, it becomes an important and mandatory item for this build.
The next item will be the Mjolnic Ring, which gives us the great benefit of having infinite Spirit while our ultimate Cataclysm is active, and obviously while this ring is equipped.
It also gives us 40% more damage, so it becomes another mandatory item for this build.
Lastly, we’ll need the star item of this build — the Unsung Ascetics.
These gloves have been buffed and now give us 100% more damage, and the critical hits of Lightning Storm strike twice.
And thanks to Purge the Infected, our crits are constant, meaning all the time.
So, this is the best option here if we want to maximize DPS.
Having these items is when the build can really be used, but I think to take full advantage of it we’ll need more gear to make it feel at its best.
Yes, it has a high gear requirement, but it’s not impossible to get.
