How it Plays

The main focus here is to get as much Movement Speed, Attack Speed and Spirit Generation as possible in order to make the Levelling Process a lot smoother.

The following steps are the recommended rotation for skill usage:

  • Run Central to the group of enemies.
  • Cast Cyclone Armour for the Vulnerable Application and to Pull Enemies Together.
  • Hulk Smash until empty of Spirit.
  • Cast Blood Howl to generate Spirit and to get it on Cooldown.
  • Trample if you need to Relocate or if you need to Generate Additional Spirit.
  • Hulk Smash until empty of Spirit.
  • Cast Petrify to reset Cooldowns.
  • Rotate Claw and Pulverise to generate stacks of Quickshift and Heightened Senses.

Repeat each step as necessary

How it Works

Build Overview

This Pulverise Druid build focuses on optimising the Ease of Levelling as well as the Overpower Damage across the build whilst staying tanky enough to beat all end game content. It does this through the following:

  • Stacking Overpower Activations.
  • Stacking Attack Speed.
  • Staying Permanently Fortified.
  • Converting Pulverise to be an Earth Skill.
  • Reducting and Resetting *Skill Cooldowns** as fast as possible.
  • Damage Multipliers across the build.

Check out the In-Depth Explanations below for further details on the build.

Extra Details

The following parts of the build have been buffed for season 8:

  • Overabundance Chaos Power will be insane!
  • Rotting Lightbringer Puddles has been fixed!

With the correct gear this build should easily beat all the hardest content in the game. The new Unique will bring a level of play that was otherwise hard to play into before such as Poisoning Enemies with ease allowing us to later on play into Poison Damage related damage scalers.

Levelling Tips

There are a few methods you can use to level depending on how fast you want to level and what mechanics you want to interact with but all of them will get you from Level 1 - 60 in a matter of Hours. Below are the levelling strategies you can use in order of Fastest to Slowest:

Helltides + Strongholds

If you don't fancy the Nightmare Dungeon Grind or replaying the VoH Campaign then you can simply go and run Helltides until Level 46/47 handing in any Whispers along the way. Once you hit Level 46/47 you can again run Strongholds to get you most of the way to Level 60 if not all of the way there.

VoH Campaign + Strongholds

This has typically been a very fast way to level by completing the Vessel of Hatred Campaign, getting to around Level 46/47 and then completing the Strongholds to get you most of the way to Level 60 if not all of the way there.

Nightmare Dungeons

This is highly anticipated in Season 9 to be the fastest strategy to use for levelling due to the new Nightmare Dungeon Sigils that comes with the Experience Mote Affix. This drops Experience Motes as you go through Nightmare Dungeons that can grant upwards of 5% Experience per Mote.

Start Tips

All Levelling Strategies

  • Equip a Pet
  • Claim Renown Rewards
  • Spend Renown Ability Points
  • Start Seasonal Questline
  • Unlock Seasonal Reputation Board
  • Start Levelling Strategy

Spirit Boons

Gift of the Stag (Level 15)

Gift of the Stag is taken for the +40 Maximum Spirit which is fantastic early on for Resource Management.

Advantageous (Level 15)

Advantageous is taken for the +15% Movement Speed which is a priority early on for making Druid feel faster.

Swopping Attacks (Level 15)

Swopping Attacks is an excellent choice early on to allow Faster Smashes via +15% Attack Speed.

Bolster (Level 15)

Bolster is taken for an additional way of generating Fortify by providing +25% Fortify On Defensive Skill Use.

Obsidian Slam (Level 15)

Obsidian Slam only becomes useful once you come across the Ursine Horror Aspect and provides additional Overpowers via using Earth Skills.

Uniques

If you happen to come across any of the following uniques whilst levelling they will greatly boost your build:

Rotting Lightbringer (Unique 2h Mace)

The is the new Unique 2h Mace that allows Pulverise to generate Poison Puddles on demand enhancing how frequently Pulverise Overpowers as well as applying a phenomenal amount of Area of Effect Damage through the use of the Puddles. This is a pretty transformative unique and is not something you can expect to drop during the Level 1 - 60 Process but if you do, you will blast the entire levelling process with ease.

Mythic Uniques

If you happen to have one of these available then you should absolutely use them. This is probably not likely on a season starter character right now but if it's a second character onwards you may well have one avaialble:

Starless Skies (Unique Ring)

The ring is just excellent all round for this build granting Attack Speed, Critical Chance, Lucky Hit and Core Skills as well as a 50%[x] Damage buff and a 50%[x] Resource Cost Reduction bonus from the Aspect. This will make the levelling process extremely easy!

Runes

If you happen to come across any of the following rune pairs whilst levelling they will greatly boost your build:

Cir + Lum

The Lum Rune grants us an additional way to Refill our Spirit everytime we cast 5 Skills with a 3 Second Cooldown afterwards. This helps immensely during the levelling process in allowing us to Hulk Smash just that little bit more.

Zan + Qua

The Zan Rune will grant us a burst of Movement Speed from Qua Rune on Casting Petrify which is extremely useful early on during the Levelling Process which is one of Druid's Biggest Weaknesses early on.

Chaos Powers

Overabundance (Magic Power)

With all the Spirit Generation we have taken on this build, if you're lucky enough to come across a Cir Rune and Lum Rune on top of these, you should be able to keep this Chaos Power capped at all times during Combat which essentially gives you a 4x Damage Multiplier.

Invigorating Attacks (Magic Power)

This Chaos Power is another source of us generating More Spirit which allows us to use Pulverise more often and helps us towards Capping Overabundance which as stated above it a Huge Damge Boost.

Accelerating Chaos (Magic Power)

We take Accelerating Chaos for the Cooldown Reduction it offers when the Chaos Bursts it produces Hits Enemies which will allow us to cast our *Ultimate** more often.
