How This Build Works
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This build focuses on pushing your Poison Creeper skill to great limits. It is very good at AoE damage and stacking poison damage on single targets. You are looking to maximize the poison damage stacking, which is your main portion of your damage. You can achieve this through the following:
-- The Lum Rune will assist you in building your Spirit generation
-- Achieving 100% Critical Strike Chance with Clarity to improve your damage through Critical Strike Damage, which has incredible stacking capabilities
-- Picking up Lucky Hit mods to reset your cooldowns with Accelerating Chaos Chaos Perk . It will also increase your Spirit Generation for buffs and letting you spam your Poison Creerper Active.
-- Picking up Attack Speed to improve the passive damage and give you more chances at scoring a Lucky Hit.
-- Gaining defenses to keep you, but mainly your Wolves alive.
-- Finding sources of cooldown reduction to let you recast Grizzly Rage when you leave Dire Wolf form. Also it will lower the cooldown of your Blood Howl, Rabies, and Crazy Brew.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Season 10 Adjustments
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- With the Chaos Perk Savagery your Poison Creeper now becomes a Core Skill. This means it no longer have a cooldown and do not gain any bonus from anything that lowers cooldown. Instead your Poison Creeper has a Spirit Cost. This also makes Clarity *** a better passive than ***Call of the Wild.
-- Lucky Hit Chance has become an even bigger help this season. It helps with Spirit Generation, and also gives you a chance to lower cooldowns of your supporting skills.
-- Resource (Spirit) Generation will greatly increase your damage through the Overabundance Chaos Perk.
-- When you are in your Grizzly Rage form, the skill will be removed off your Wereform bar. This makes it hard to keep near permanent uptime. To achieve this we stack cooldown and also rely on Storm Skills to reset the skill when you leave Wereform.
-- Chaos Uniques let you fill in an armor slot with a selected Unique
Consumables
Elixir : Attack Speed and Lucky Hit
Stat : Willpower
Defense : Life
Alt Defense : Armor (Can help when you don't have an Armor roll on your gear.
Resist : Resist All and Armor.
Spirit Boons
Deer: Wariness - You should always take this as it will keep you alive but Damage Reduction is also a huge bonus for your Wolves.
Eagle: Iron Feather and Avian Wrath - More Life means more survivability. You aim to be Critical Strike Chance capped (with Clarity) so more Critical Strike Damage is nice.
Eagle Alt: Scythe Talons instead of Iron Feather - If you need more Lucky Hit and/or more Critical Strike Chance to hit that 100% (with Clarity) substitute this Boon in.
Wolf: Energize - Helps greatly with keeping the Spirit incoming. Wolves are a Primary Skill, so they now take resource.
Snake: Calm Before the Storm - Nature skills will reset your Grizzly Rage (even while you are in Dire Wolf and it is removed from your bar)
Alt Snake: Overload - When you have enough cooldown on your Grizzly Rage, pick this for a more damage and Vulnerable.
Mythics
Harlequin's Crest - This is a massive boost all around. The Cooldown Reduction will help Blood Howl, Rabies, Crazy Brew and Grizzly Rage. Your Life will be needing lots of help in the build for Season 10. The Armor will easily help you achieve over 1000 armor. Max Resource will increase your Locran's variant Damage. With the passive we gain 4 to all skills (it will be 8 to Wolves since they are a Core and a Companion skill) and 20% Damage Reduction.
Order of Priority of Greater Affixes:
- Cooldown
- Maximum Life
- Armor
- Max Resource
You are looking to triple crit masterwork on Cooldown Reduction.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shroud of False Death - The best armor for most builds. The +1 to all Passives is simply one of the best mods in the game. On top of that you get tons of All Stats which will help you hit your Rare Paragon Nodes easier and will give you more Resist and Armor... On top of the added Primary Stat. If this armor couldn't get any better, it has a massive chunk of Life on it which will increase survivability. In Season 10 the Primary Resource Restore actually also increased damage through Overabundance
Order of Priority of Greater Affixes:
- All Stats
- Maximum Life
- Restore Primary Resource
- Chance on Stealth Increased Damage
You are looking to triple crit masterwork on All Stats. If you want a little more survivability, use the third on Maximum Life.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyrael's Might *Hardcore* - This is the best armor for any Hardcore build. There's simply a ton of Damage Reduction. On top of this your Resistances are going to be pushed to cap and the cap is going to go even higher with Max Resistances. The movement speed helps you get in and out of packs when you don't have something to Shred to. You will have to adjust your skills and passives when you switch to this armor.
Order of Priority of Greater Affixes:
- Damage Reduction
- Resistance to All
- Movement Speed
- Maximum Resistance
You are looking to triple crit masterwork on Damage Reduction.
Starter Unique
Tibautl's Will will have a ton of uses to you in the starter variant that has no mythics or chaos armor. You gain stats and life with will be good for reaching breakpoints and taking bigger hits. On top of that you get a constant damage reduction from being unstoppable. You also gain a damage buff every time you enter Grizzly Rage. On top of that every time you go into this form you gain 50 Resource which will give you half of the Spirit needed for Overabundance
Glyph Priority
This Build will use 6 different glyphs depending on the version.
The order you should rank them to Rank 15 is as follows:
- Headhunter
- Wilds
- Keeper
- Spirit
- Fang and Claw
The order you should rank them to 46 (Legendary) is as follows:
- Keeper
- Wilds
- Fang and Claw
- Spirit
- Headhunter
Runewords
Both of these Runewords are necessary to really make the build work:
Nagu (Replacement for Activating Rune - Cir, Igni, Ahu, Tam)
+
Ceh (No replacement)
The Ceh Rune increases your amount of Wolves massively. More damage in every factor of the build.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This runeword has many options based on what you need as a generator. The best second runeword will be:
Igni (Replacement for Activating Rune - Noc, Cir, Tam, Ahu, Nagu, Poc)
+
Lum (No replacement)
The Lum Rune will cause you gain Spirit based on which activating rune you choose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other activating rune choices:
Igni - Very fast generation (every 0.3 seconds)
Nagu - You have a massive amount of summons to keep this rolling
Tam - You are constantly casting Wolves and also Shred
Ahu - Takes a little time to start but will constantly stay up once you get past the Health threshold
Noc - This build has a lot of crowd control to activate this rune (easily found)
Cir - Huge gains every 3 seconds (easily found)
Poc - Once you have enough Spirit generation, this is a great activation rune (easily found)

Stat Priorities
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You should aim for the following goals for the build:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
100% Critical Strike Chance (after adding in your Clarity Passive bonus)
94% Chance for Poison Creeper to Attack Twice (If you can go over 100% it will improve the build even more. Two 23% base roll and a triple will get you above 100% total)
Attack Speed - With Crazy Brew you only need 20% Attack Speed to hit 100%
3300 Willpower... Obviously the more the better
13000 Base Life... Again the more the better (6500 if you use the Marred Guard Chaos Power)
1000 Armor (You can get here with Harlequin's Crest and 1 Armor roll)
75% Resist All (You should hopefully aim closer to 85% when you use the Marred Guard Chaos Power)
Grizzly Rage
In Season 10 Grizzly Rage is handled by Harlequin's Crest. This provides a good amount of base cooldown to the base skill. You get even more reduction from your Nature Magic. You will also get more reduction from the Accelerating Chaos Chaos Perk. From these three things your Grizzly Rage should be up when you exit form or within a couple seconds. We have enough defenses out of GR to keep you alive until you bring it back up with buff stacks still in tact. We choose to add 1 Grizzly Rage Cooldown to the Amulet to bring the skill back up quicker.
If you need further help lowering the cooldown, switch from Iron Feather to Scythe Talons. When you make this change, if it is needed, you can drop Clarity and add Cooldown Reduction.
Mercenaries
Varyana - She should be your main mercenary until you get into the higher content. Her massacre bonus helps your movement speed and the attack speed bonuses help with passive damage and also increase your Spirit generation. You may need to pick up extra Resistance when you choose her as your Mercenary. Good as Mercenary or as a DPS Reinforcement in speed Content.
Raehir - For pushing high pits the Bastion skill can save you and it will provide you with a decent damage boost. You also get a damage boost every time he casts Ground Slam. If you have enough Resistance to all Elements, pick up Draw Fire for more damage reduction. Good as Mercenary or death prevent Reinforcement.
Aldkin - The Demon Child should be your go to Reinforcement in almost all situations. He provides consistent 20% damage reduction for 6 seconds every 20 seconds. This is the best choice to keep you and your Wolves alive. Great as your Reinforcement.
Subo - Subo is mainly used for his maphack showing you where mobs are going to be. His other main use when slotted as your Mercenary is movement speed when hitting an Elite. From this, he should be your choice for speed clearing. He also has a nice increase to Critical Strike damage for 4 seconds every 20 seconds. If you choose to take him, you may need to adjust your Resistances. He should only be used as your Mercenary.
Remember that in group content you will have no Mercenary (the top NPC) so be ready to adjust to the loss of this.
Chaos Perks
Accelerating Chaos (Magic Chaos Perk) - This power will shoot 3 bolts out in front of you. This is increased based on your Lucky Hit Chance. It helps with AoE clearing trash. These bursts will also reduce a random cooldown. This helps lower the cooldowns of Blood Howl, Rabies, and most importantly Grizzly Rage.
Overabundance (Magic Chaos Perk) - With this power, all the Spirit you stack above maximum will be converted into % damage for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, the stacking will start over. With the Energize Boon and enough Lucky Hit Chance you are generally at your maximum Spirit. Stacking Resource Generation and Resource (Spirit) gain, you will be getting an incredible damage gain.
Erupting Chaos (Rare Chaos Perk) - With this power, you will be generating more AoE Chaotic Bursts. With the Accelerating Chaos Chaos Perk, these will also help lower your cooldowns.
Crazy Brew (Legendary Chaos Perk) - By putting your potion on a 15 second cooldown, you will gain a nice DPS cooldown. You will gain 100% resource cost reduction (this lets you keep gaining Spirit without using anything which will boost Overabundance) and 80% Attack Speed. On top of this you gain 80% Movement speed. Just know your enemies and bosses so you will not have your potion on cooldown when you need it
Marred Guard (Legendary Chaos Perk) - For giving up 50% of your life, you gain a ton of defenses. You gain 10% maximum resistance and 10% armor gain. This allows you to put in less defense stats and gain more offense. The loss of 50% life does lead to more 1 shots if you aren't prepared. Fit in more life when you can. Your Fortify generation (also Barrier if you choose to add this in) will be increased by 100%.
Savagery (Unique Chaos Perk) - 80% damage gain to your Wolves, which is your main attack. This also turns your Companions into Core skills. This means that every rank to Core Skills will now also increase your Companion Skill. The biggest change will be that your Wolves skill will no longer have a cooldown but now cost Spirit. This means no form of cooldown (including Pack Leader Boon) will change your Wolves skill. Only Spirit Cost Reduction, refunding Spirit, and Spirit Generation will increase you casts.
Chaos Armor
The pants are our best slot for our Chaos Armor. It is the best DPS gain since your Helm and Chest slots are locked. You need Gloves for an extra offensive aspect. The boots slot is where you should put Dire Wolf. So the pants slot makes the best sense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Main Chaos Armor Choices
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Earthbreaker Pants - Extra Critical Strike Chance helps you hit 100% CSC with less effort from Clarity. Extra Landslide ranks helps you get even more damage out of your Subterranean Aspect. More chances to recast Landslide gives you yet another big addition to damage. The aspect gives us yet another source of damage through Tectonic Spikes.
Vasily Boots - These boots are used in the Werebear Variant. You can get a decent boost to Willpower through the % modifier on this Chaos Boot. You also gain Armor and Life to increase your defenses. If this wasn't enough, you will be gaining tons of Fortify through the Earth Skills and Defensive Posture passive. This passive also grants you a ton of damage reduction while Fortified.
FAQ Section #1
How Do We Proc Vulnerable?
We get our Vulnerable through our passive Elemental Exposure (Lucky Hit: Storm Skills have a 10% chance to make enemies Vulnerable). You get this from Lightning Bolts from Charged Atmosphere, and Boon Overload when taken.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why don't we stack Critical Strike Chance?
We do not need to stack CSC in Season 10 because of Companion skills also being considered Core skills from the Savagery Chaos Perk. The reason for this is passive Clarity. With this passive, casting a Companion skill increases the CSC of your next Core skill. So since your Wolves skill is both a Companion and a Core skill, this stacks up your CSC to 100% really easily. Even with a +1 on your Amulet (without even critting on it) at rank 12 Masterwork you will have enough CSC to hit 100%., Further points will just increase your damage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which Mythic should I craft first?
Either would be a good choice. Although the passives from Shroud of False Death would make it a great choice, I feel Harlequin's Crest should be your first craft if possible. The Cooldown reduction is too important to the build with the changes to Grizzly Rage. There are also a ton of other useful things in Life and Armor. On top of that you gain tons of useful Skill points and the damage reduction is very helpful. In the Hardcore Variant, you can choose to go with Tyrael's Might. If you choose to do this you will need to focus on Cooldown and Grizzly Rage Cooldown instead of Resource Generation on your rings.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which is the best of the two extra Defensive aspects?
If you already have one of your Mythics and you are looking for the best Defensive aspect between Vigorous and Spirit Bond you are going to use Spirit Bond. Spirit Bond is a very good aspect in terms of boosting Offense and Defense. The damage split you get between your Companions is a huge gain in Defense. Add to that making your Companions not die will give you a pretty good boost in your damage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What easy ways can I improve my general damage in clears?
There are a few things you can do to improve damage. Increasing your Grizzly Rage casts will damage through the Catastrophe passive. Frequent uses of Blood Howl will also up your damage. Remembering to use your Crazy Brew potion cooldown will give you another damage boost. Try to alternate Blood Howl and the potion cooldown so you have a source of healing ready. Making sure your Rabies is up on mobs will increase your stacking damage. When you come out of Grizzly Rage, if you hit Cyclone Armor before going back into Dire Wolf form you will gain another damage boost due to the Backlash passive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I play this build without Vessel of Hatred DLC/Expansion?
Yes the build is playable without VoH. You can still get into Torment 4 without Runes of Mercenaries. You can push pits a little bit. However, to really bring this build to the max, it would greatly as the Mercenaries do help with a lot of survivability for you and your Wolves. If you are looking to get higher pit gains, the runewords do really increase the damage output of the build. You gain a lot of damage with the NaguCeh Spirit Wolves, and your Resource Generation is greatly increased by IgniLum boosting Overabundance Chaos Perk. Another gain from the expansion is more Polearm options. This gives you the base Vulnerable on your weapon which is another min/max bonus. So while you don't need to have VoH, it will really improve the build.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FAQ Section #2
Why do I see Cyclone Armor and Maul on your bars, but when I watch you play I notice Blood Howl and Claw?
Druids have a lot of interesting tech to them that other classes do not. It is actually possible to run extra skills with a Druid, in the case of this build we have 8 skills instead of the 6 other builds have access too. Because of Grizzly Rage (and Dire Wolf) can have access to even more skills. When you use the Grizzly Rage skill, you will have skills replace each other. For base Grizzly Rage, you have Human form and Werewolf skills that will convert to Werebear skills.
In the case of the Escape From Sanctuary build, Werebear and Human form skills will turn into Werewolf skills. We put Cyclone Armor on our bar to gain the passive Non-Physical Damage Reduction. When we go into Dire Werewolf form with Grizzly Rage, the Cyclone Armor slot will become Blood Howl which we will now have access to. We have Maul on our bar in Human Form. Doing so allows us to get access to the Damage Reduction on the Heightened Senses passive. When we switch to Dire Werewolf form with Grizzly Rage, the Maul slot will then turn into Claw.
This all allows us to have the benefits of 8 skills rather than 6 through the tech of turning one skill into another with the Grizzly Rage skill. There are other skills that also have this effect.
