Build Overview

Welcome to Allie's guide on Poison Swarm Spiritborn! This was a build I fell in love with in Season 13 and I am running it back again for Season 14! This build is, as far as we are aware, is going to be the top build for pushing Tower and the Leaderboards in Season 14 on a Spiritborn and I plan to min-max it to the extreme!

In S13 I held Top 10 on the Spiritborn Ladder and with SSF, I am looking to do it all over again while going for Rank 1 and this build is what I will be choosing to do that with!

In this guide we will cover all of the basics of leveling a Spiritborn from 1-70 as well as all of the different progression points through Shattered Stone Rock Splitter and Inner Ferocity Rock Splitter. This will be used to farm out the gear we need to swap over to Counterattack of the Swarm Counterattack with Ring of Writhing Moon where we will settle into our Endgame build!

Swarm will be a fully automatic build where you simply just need to move forward! Counterattack of the Swarm Counterattack will constantly trigger Pestilant Swarms which with Ring of Writhing Moon will spin around you, Poisoning enemies. This will be combined with many massive multipliers to cause each Poison you apply to be so strong that it will instantly kill any enemy you come across.

Note - This build does require you to NumLock 4 abilities to get the most out of. At a bare minimum you will need to NumLock Counterattack and without doing so this build is VERY APM intensive. NumLocking is easy to set-up and will be explained in the Skills Section.

When paired up with Rushing Claw, we have amazing mobility at our fingertips even through the nerf that happened to it in Season 14.

Overall, you can expect a very fast and satisfying build that has a smooth progression curve all the way to the top and one of the most fun playstyles in the game!

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Top Spiritborn Pushing Build.
  • Automatic build if NumLocked.
  • Some of the highest mobility in the game.
  • Very tanky at all points in the build Post-70.
  • Swarm requires gear to begin, until then we will be playing Rock Splitter.
  • Requires NumLocking.

Build Variants

This Build Variant will hold your hand through the first 15 Levels playing with Withering Fist and Stinger before swapping to Shattered Stone Rock Splitter.

You are free to level however you wish but if you prefer to get it done as fast as possible, I have a guide here on how to abuse Helltide to go from 1-70 in 1.5-2 Hours.

Once you are Level 15 you should swap to the 15-70 Rock Splitter Build Variant which will go over the swap.

Equipment

You are free to level however you wish but if you prefer to get it done as fast as possible, I have a guide here on how to abuse Helltide to go from 1-70 in 1.5-2 Hours.

For Levels 1-15 simply focus on finding a Weapon that has a higher DPS number. You should equip any Blue items as you come across them and to then upgrade into Rare gear as it drops.

Ideally look for Dexterity and Maximum Life on your Helmet, Body Armour and Pants.

Try to find a pair of Boots with Movement Speed on them and never take them off unless you are upgrading to another pair with Movement Speed.

Finding a bit of Life on Hit helps with the first few levels quite a bit but will very quickly fall off as you start swapping to Rock Splitter.

Lastly, if you can find Attack Speed on your Gloves, Amulet or Rings, that will make everything feel much smoother. Damage over Time, Vulnerable Damage and Poison Damage are all solid stats too and equip any items with those as you get them. Anything Crit related is ok but not as strong as the other options.

Talisman

You will find a few low-level Seals as you progress and you should use whatever seems useful. Ideally, try to focus on Attack Speed if possible but other stats such as Life, Resistances and Damage are good too.

The same applies for your Charms. If you happen to get very lucky and get a valid 2-Set of something like Fer of Slaughter, you should use it as it will offer you a solid power boost.

Use Withering Fist to build up Vigor then Stinger to use it up. Stinger will hit in a small AoE in-front of you as well as any enemy that is Poisoned through Withering Fist.

Healing Withering Fist and Healing and Vulnerable Stinger will keep you alive through most things.

Toxic Skin should be used on Cooldown as it's Poison Trail does a lot of damage in the early levels. You can use this to finish off monsters while moving on to a new pack and to Poison enemies for Stinger.

Skill Tree

Spent14

This will be your Passive Tree for Levels 1-15. Make sure to check-on the Leveling Path and just follow it along.

Once you are Level 15 you will swap over to the 15-70 Rock Splitter Build Variant where you will fully re-spec your whole Passive Tree.

Mercenaries

While leveling you should use Subo as your main Mercenary along with Raheir as your Reinforcement. Subo's Map Hack is too valuable early on and will make it much easier to identify high-density packs of monsters to fight.

Raheir's Bastion is a great defensive layer that will come in handy if you ever get overwhelmed.
