- Look to use your
Flight in combination with
Stake to force enemy heroes to trade with you away from cover. I recommend using ‘Confirm Cast’ for
Stake, so you can see where the edge will be. - Your ultimate at full charge will do over 400 damage to targets below half hp at 6-7 minutes, don’t let anyone on the map play the game if they are below half.
Stake is often one of the best tools in the game to set up other teammates like
Warden,
Abrams,
Infernus, and more, coordinate using
Stakeand
Flight with your lane partner’s abilities too.- The ‘ricochet’ on
Crow Familiar will prioritize bouncing to creeps if its initial hit is on a creep, and heroes if its initial hit is on a hero. If there is only one or two creeps left, you can use it to try and ricochet onto heroes. This skill is, and has been, incredibly buggy for well over a year, you have been warned. - Flying ‘diagonally’(Up and down in addition to left and right) during
Flightmakes you significantly harder to hit with both bullets and abilities, from all angles. - Preferably, you’d like to be around the middle of the map, as your
Assassinate will allow you to bully anyone trying to skirmish in the ‘river’ area of the map. - You can use
Flight and cancel it during the lift and maintain the momentum to use it as an escape, but it is a very long cooldown and a major source of your early damage. - Save your first 3 ability points to dump into
Assassinate immediately to raise the bonus damage, you don’t really get much out of these points(unless you want to put 1 point in
Stake and/or
Crow Familiar) and the extra damage is really hard to deal with when you get it.
Deadlock Vindicta Build by Y4mz
Overview
This build was created by Y4mz. To find this build in game search for "Mobalytics - Vindicta by y4mz" (BuildID: 316643)
Vindicta has long been one of the most polarizing heroes in Deadlock and only recently has she finally been universally considered ‘weak’ due to a combination of hero matchups, item anti-synergy (
Ethereal Shift and
Counterspell cancelling her
Flight ability), and her
Stake losing it’s vacuum property. In spite of all of that, the combination of
Stake and
Alchemical Fire is still absolutely lethal to heroes caught out of position, and
Echo Shard allows us to hold someone in the
Alchemical Fire for nearly the full duration. Vindicta still has a fairly strong lane due to
Stake being one of the best setup abilities for other heroes,
Flight nearly doubling her damage per bullet, and charged
Assassinate dealing nearly half of a hero’s health when you first get it. This build has a ‘branching path’ to it after
Echo Shard, allowing you to adapt to the situation at hand.
Early Game Items

Mid Game Items
Stake and
Alchemical Fire have the same thrown trajectory, if you use ‘Confirm Cast’ for
Stake and ‘Quick Cast’ for
Alchemical Fire, you can throw them quickly on top of one another.- We are looking to pick up
Cultist Sacrifice around 8 minutes, this is when the T3 Neutral monsters spawn and we will try to use the proc on T3 neutrals whenever possible. - Use
Stake in combination with
Alchemical Fire and
Flight to deal tons of damage, just be wary of enemy players buying
Reactive Barrier it may be better to avoid using
Stake on them sometimes. - You can initiate ganks for your team with
Veil Walker and
Stake sometimes, be sure to bring others unless you’re very far ahead of the enemies as Vindicta is rather weak in 1v1s against players on full hp and even networth. - Once you get
Echo Shard, your
Echo Shard
Stake plus
Alchemical Fire combo is still nearly 6 seconds of some of the

Late Game Items
- After you get
Echo Shard you have three options: - Continue building supportive debuffs and utility aura items for your team (If they seem like they’re actually doing things).
- Lean heavily into dealing spirit damage with damage-over-time effects (and pray they don’t buy
Debuff Remover). - Transition into more focused, single-target damage with a few gun items,
Boundless Spirit and
Mercurial Magnum. You may want to detour from the skill order to max
Assassinate if you plan on doing this. AKA

Situational Items
- Here are some situational items that you may opt for in certain scenarios or when you need different defensive options.
