Zenless Zone Zero Corin Wickes Overview

Welcome to our Zenless Zone Zero Corin guide, where we cover everything you need to know about her kit, builds, teams, and more.

Corin is an A-Rank Agent from the Victoria Housekeeping Company Faction, with the Physical Attribute and Attack Specialty. She can be obtained from any banner, so any time you pull an A-Rank Agent, there’s a chance you’ll get Corin.

Corin is certainly one of the weaker damage dealers in the game based on the current ZZZ meta and, while her kit does have some synergies with other agents, there are normally always better options in team comps she would fit into. Her main draw as a unit is her utility and knockbacks, but as of current testing, we haven’t seen much need for her when compared to other characters that offer as much, if not more, CC.

Corin Talents

A Open Trauma: When Corin’s Chain Attack or Ultimate hits an enemy, her DMG against the target increases by 12% for 15s.
B Atomic Smash: When Corin’s EX Special Attack, Chain Attack or Ultimate hits an enemy, the target’s Physical RES is reduced by 0.5%, stacking up to 20 times and lasting 5s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
C Amateur Maid: Basic Attack, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
D Battlefield Retainer: When Corin uses a Reactive Assist, Defensive Assist, or Chain Attack, she recovers 7.2 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 16s.
E Special Ops Maid: Basic Attack, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
F Accumulated Release: When Corin’s extended slash hits an enemy, she obtains a stack of Charge (max 40 stacks). During a Dodge Counter, Special Attack, EX Special Attack, Reactive Assist, or Assist Follow-Up, when her chainsaw detonation hits an enemy, consumes all stacks of Charge. Each stack consumed causes the attack to deal an additional 3% of ATK as DMG.

Zenless Zone Zero Corin Build Guide Overview

Zenless Zone Zero Corin Build Feature
W-Engine Drive Disc
  • Steel Cushion
  • Starlight Engine
  • Woodpecker Electro (4)
    Fanged Metal (2)
  • Fanged Metal (4)
    Puffer Electro (2)
Main Stat Substats
  • (4) Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  • (5) PEN Ratio%/Physical DMG%
  • (6) ATK%/Energy Regen%
  • Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  • ATK%
  • PEN
  • Anomaly Proficiency*

Corin’s choices on W-Engines and Drive Disc builds are fairly simple, with both simply aiming to increase her damage output. Use what you have available to you.

Corin Best W-Engines

Steel_Cushion

Steel Cushion

ATK: 48/713 | Crit Rate: 9.6%/24%

Physical damage is increased by 25%. This effect is increased by an additional 35% when attacking the enemy from behind.

Starlight_Engine

Starlight Engine

ATK: 40/594 | ATK: 10%/25%

Launching a Chain Attack increases ATK by 24/30/36/42/48% for 10s.

While Steel Cushion is the best option for Corin, you should use Starlight Engine if you don’t have it. Both are simply an increase to her damage output, with little requirement to trigger them.

Corin Best Drive Discs

Disk Drive Woodpecker Electro S

Woodpecker Electro

(2): Increases CRIT Rate by 8%.
(4): Triggering a critical hit with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter or EX Special Attack increases the equippers ATK by 9% for 6s. The buff duration for different skills are calculated separately.
Disk Drive Fanged Metal S

Fanged Metal

(2): Increases physical damage by 10%.
(4): Whenever a squad member inflicts Assault on an enemy, the equipper deals 35% increased damage to the target for 12s.

Woodpecker Electro is taken for its excellent 2-piece bonus of CRIT Rate, along with the ATK% buff that, with enough gear and CRIT Rate %, will be permanently active. Fanged Metal is taken for its Physical damage increase on the 2-piece bonus.

You can also reverse the 4 piece and 2 piece and still have good results. Depending on your team, one may perform better than the other.

Corin Drive Disc Stats

Corin’s reason for existing in a team is to output damage and her stats are built as such – we simply want to stack as many damage-increasing stats as we can. When it comes to Anomaly stats, it’s a nice bonus to have, especially if you’re running Corin on a Physical team.

Main Stats

  1. Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  2. PEN Ratio%/Physical DMG%
  3. Energy Regen%/ATK%

Sub-stats

  1. Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  2. ATK%
  3. PEN
  4. Anomaly Proficiency*

Corin Skill Priority

Once the game releases, we’ll update this section. In general, leveling up an Agent’s Core Passive is the most effective, as this increases their base stats as well as the multipliers on their Core Passive.

Corin Teams for Zenless Zone Zero

Corin struggles to find a team comp that she fits well into, simply because other characters can mostly do what she can, but better. With that being said, if you just like Corin as a character and want to make use of her, you can do so with a Physical-focused team alongside Nekomata and Piper.

If you decide to run this team, you should look to build Piper with more of a focus on Anomaly Rate, and instead take the second ATK% on your main stats for Corin.

With that being said, we are currently unsure of whether or not Piper will be included on release, and if she isn’t, you should look at running a Physical team of Nekomata, Corin, and Billy.

This team is, for the most part, fairly sub-par, and in turn leads to Corin generally being valued fairly low as a character. Nekomata carries much of the team’s value compared to Corin and Billy.
