LoL Champion Duos That Should Be Added to 2XKO

With League of Legends having deep lore with connections between champions, it's natural that 2XKO, a 2v2 fighter, would feature some of the iconic duos.

You might already know Jinx + Ekko, Jinx + Vi, and Vi + Warwick from Arcane, but did you know that Braum + Illaoi also have implied romantic ties?

It's only a matter of time before we see missing characters like Yone, Yasuo's brother and Draven, Darius's brother to be added.

In this article, we'll list five classic League of Legends duos that have a high chance to be added to the 2XKO roster with predictions for their playstyles.

It's honestly surprising that the 2XKO roster doesn't have any representatives from Demacia, considering it's one of the oldest regions in Runeterra lore. Garen and Lux are two siblings who would make obvious additions as they are two commonly seen faces in the franchise.

Garen, the renowned hero of the Demacian military, parallels Darius from Noxus as a rival both in the lore and in the Top lane League of Legends role. He would fit right in as a Bruiser since he is a tanky and relentless force. He would operate in closer ranges than Braum and Illaoi but would deal constant damage if he catches you due to his spin-to-win playstyle.

His sister, Lux, is a secret mage who wields light (did we mention that Demacia is an anti-magic society?) with a versatile package of spells for offense and defense. In 2XKO, she would likely be a Trap character who can poke enemies from afar and keep them in place to set up combos.

  • Rakan = Mix Up

Known as "Lover's Lane", Xayah and Rakan are THE duo of League of Legends with unique upsides that activate only when they are on the same team. Although from a different tribe, they are Vastayan like Ahri, and would add two more representatives from Ionia.

Xayah is a rebellious freedom fighter who is one of the most versatile among her peers in the ADC League of Legends role. As such, she would naturally be All-Rounder as she can wield her feather daggers at a variety of ranges. Her gameplay would likely have a mechanic related to placing feathers and then pulling them back to her.

Rakan is a battle dancer who would instantly be the charismatic charmer of the 2XKO cast. in League of Legends, he is one of the most mobile Supports, being able to dash and leap across the battlefield to create opportunity for his side and chaos for his opposition. This would make him an obvious choice for a Mix Up playstyle, with tricky side swaps and feints.

  • Senna = Zoner

Lucian and Senna are a married couple who are from Demacia, but would also give 2XKO adjacent representation for the Shadow Isles since that's where they spend a lot of their time in the lore. As members of the ancient order, the Sentinels of Light (Ahri is also a member), they fight the infamous Black Mist, which originates from the Isles.

Wielding two quick-firing pistols, Lucian is known for getting up close and personal to chase down his opponents relentlessly. He would likely be a potent Rushdown character who would put pressure on enemy defenses and would likely have ways to dodge past projectiles.

Senna wields a massive cannon that has powers of light infused with powers from the Black Mist. Since she's slower and more deliberate by nature compared to Lucian, she would likely prefer to operate at a mid to long-range distance in 2XKO but could also have some tricks like being able to turn herself and her ally invisible a la Teemo.

  • Morgana = Trap

Kayle and Morgana are twin sisters born to the Targon Aspect of Justice (essentially like an Olympian god of Justice), so they would give 2XKO some representation to the more cosmic and celestial side of the League of Legends lore.

As the fiery righteous angel, Kayle is known for wielding a flaming sword that switches between fighting at melee range but can also temporarily damage foes from afar, making her lean toward an All Rounder. She would likely have an empowered install state like Warwick, but rather than transforming for a round, she might turn it off and on, perhaps with a Super rather than a passive.

Morgana is a fallen angel who wields chains and spells to bind and torment her enemies. This would lean her toward a Trap playstyle, but we could also see some creative spins to possibly have some command grabs to give her a splash of Grappler. She could also have some lifesteal elements if they transfer some of her Soul Siphon ability.

  • Tryndamere = Bruiser

Ashe and Tryndamere are another married duo, but they have a different angle, as their relationship is more of a political arrangement rather than romantic. They would join Braum as representatives of Freljord.

As a bow-wielding ranger, Ashe would definitely be in Zoner territory. In League of Legends she has an array of arrow abilities that slow and stun her enemies, so it wouldn't be surprising for her to have a mechanic similar to Braum but leaning more toward offensive rather than defensive.

Tryndamere is a furious barbarian with a massive greatsword. He would likely be a Bruiser due to his size, but also have some surprising burst mobility to get the jump on enemies, making him slightly overlap with a bit of Rushdown. In League of Legends, his signature ultimate prevents him from falling below 1 HP for a few seconds — this would be hard to balance in 2XKO, but he might have a comeback mechanic that makes him stronger the lower his health is.
