The Lady of Luminosity
2XKO Lux Guide - Moves, Combos, and Overview
Overview
2XKO get's it first real shoto champion! Lux is a beginner-friendly who fills in the traditional fireball and DP fundamental archetype assiciated with traditional 2D fighting games. Based on her reveal trailer, she has good air mobility, and a slow moving projectile that is useful for zoning, combos, oki setups, and OTG combo extensions.

Unique Mechanics
Air Movement
The first combo shows an air hop that appears to function similarly to
Ekko's. She possibly has an dash as well, as later we also see Lux using aerial movement to bait and punish multiple attacks.
She can dash/hop forwards and backwards. The ability to alter her jump trajectory enables crossups, dodge and whiff punishes, and combo extensions.
It may be somewhat committal, so it could be more useful for positioning and mix-ups than constant rushdown.
Dragon Punch
Lux has a rising anti-air special that is meant to function like a traditional DP. It definitely has anti-air invulnerability, but the trailer may suggests the possibility of having invulnerability or armor (like
Darius) but we won’t know whether it functions as a true reversal until release.
Sweep
Known in the FGC as the rich girl sweep, (we were surprised when
Caitlyn didn't have it), the double-leg full body sweep while proped up on her back arm allows Lux to chase opponents using Retreating Guard.
Air Fireball
Downward angled air fireballs generally are very strong in fighting games. Expect to see frequent use of Lux's for neutral pressure, block strings and mixups. After a Limit Strike, the air fireball is a powerful oki tool, similar to
Ahri's slow moving grounded fox blast.
The air fireball also hits OTG or opponents who have crumbled onto the ground, making it an excellent combo conversion tool
Supers
Lux's summon beam Super can be deployed, then quick
Tag to her teammate -preserving Handshake
Tag- and her teammate can use it's subsequent hits for deadly mixups, or for high damage combos. Depending on the exact mechanics, it may also have strong synergy with
Double Down similar to
Teemo's Dart Super.
