Overview

The Bazaar is game that is supposed to be getting balance changes often by design.

For the latest batches of buffs and nerfs, check back here! We'll be keeping a log of the past 3 months so you can easily track when and why meta shifts happened.

Hotfix 15.2

GENERAL

Patch Cadence

  • In earlier Seasons, we had done a mid-season patch. In more recent Seasons, we tried an approach where we hotfixed things based on various factors. This has some advantages but one big disadvantage is that it is unpredictable, especially for our players. So we are going to try and go back to the more fixed cadence where we do a Mid-Season Patch instead so you always know there's something coming.

Tournament Mode (Coming Soon)

  • We have been working on a synchronous mode where players can play in a limited lobby
  • While this feature is close, we do not have a specific release date for you at this time

ENCOUNTER CHANGES

A Strange Mushroom

  • Friend option now gives a Friend from any Hero

Library (Encounter)

  • Corrected an issue with the random Skill option only spawning Silver-tier starting skills
  • Hire a Teacher
    • Cost to 20 (from 15)

Mimic

  • Corrected an issue with Mimics spawning too often

ITEM CHANGES

Item Scaling

  • A number of flat output items have had their tier-scaling adjusted that were missed in previous passes, including: Chaff, The Core, Pearl, Runic Double Bow, etc.

Barbed Wire

  • CD +1

Boosted Saucer

  • Corrected an issue where this did not charge if you destroyed an enemy item

Burnacuda

  • CD 3 (from 2s)
  • Ammo 1/2/3/4 (from 2)
  • Burn 3 (from 2/4/6/8)

Cutlery Forge

  • Burn 2/4/6 (from 4)

Drone Crusher

  • This item has been interesting but is probably doing too much, additionally, transform and Drones seems to have some conflicting philosophies
    • This is a temporary balance adjustment, expect a more solid rework next season
  • CD 5 (from 4)
  • No longer has the Tool tag
  • Corrected an issue with this item's enchants not working when the Drone was used by Drone Crusher

Hammock

  • Buffs 3/6/9/12 (from 4/8/12/16)

Holsters

  • Diamond-tier (remains 2s at Diamond)

Hunter's Pack

  • Gold-tier
  • Scaling 2/4% (from 2/3/4%)

Hydrogen Tank

  • Gold-tier

Lavaroller

  • Corrected an issue where the scaling triggered when the enemy destroys an item

Private Hot Springs

  • This change addresses an issue where this item counted as both a Regen item for some effects, but not for others
    • This type of effect is mechanically more suitable for Skills
  • Regen equal to this item's Burn (from You have 20/40/60 Regen for each Frozen item)

Rampage Module

  • Damage Buff 7/14/21 (from 8/16/24)

Wind Dragon

  • Fun to play but just a little slow to get started, especially without Flying Potion
  • This and another item starts Flying (from An item starts Flying)

Zarlic

  • Haste for 1s (from 2s)

  • Continued with standardization pass of enchantment values, focusing on active versions of Heavy, Icy and Turbo, as well as Deadly that passively buffs other items

SFX on Mac

  • Corrected an issue where there is sometimes a popping noise when playing on Mac

Sell Hotkey

  • Fixed the Sell hotkey not working on some devices

Wording Changes

  • We are taking some steps to reduce the visual complexity of our items via wording changes
    • This is a work in progress
    • Specifically, we are doing the following:
      • Removing "for the fight" in favor of specifying permanent effects
      • Removing "Shield" from sentences like "Your Shield items gain +X Shield" which will now read "Your items gain [Shield Icon] X"
    • This is not a change in functionality, and is only a change for readability

Item Spawning

  • Corrected an issue where sometimes Bronze items would spawn late in the run when they should not

Legendary Item Costs

  • Reduced the sell value of Legendary Small and Medium items to be more in line with normal item value scaling

Flying

  • Standardized the effect ordering of Flying effects on cooldown such that they fire before other types of outputs that are on also on cooldown
    • For example, Clockwork Disc will now make itself Fly or stop Flying before dealing damage
    • This only affects items that makes themselves Fly
  • When an item is destroyed, it stops Flying
    • This previously did not trigger "stops Flying" effects and has been corrected to do so

Enchantments

  • Continued to make consistency pass and improvements to Enchantments across the board
  • Numerous enchantments have been adjusted and fixed as a result
  • Many items with missing enchantments gained them
  • Weights, Lifting Stones, and other similar "buff" items have had many of their enchants updated to also buff items

"is Slowed" effects

  • Most effects of this class have been consolidated to "When you Slow this" for consistency and interoperability with Radiant and other Slow prevention effects
  • Some items like Security Blanket and Moon Orb remain "is Slowed" as they are a different thematic concept
  • We have also updated "is Hasted" similarly for wording consistency, but this should have minimal gameplay ramifications

Level Up Changes

  • Made some changes to the gold-gain options
    • Added secondary tags to many options
    • Reduced the high end of the gold gain
    • This normalizes the values you tend to get from the options
  • Added some additional options to several Heroes
