GENERAL CHANGES

  • Corrected an issue where transforming can cause items to lose its accumulated types
  • Corrected an issue where items can “clip” together or occupy the same slot in rare instances
  • Corrected an issue with certain tooltips that have nested reference not displaying upgrade values correctly
  • Deadly
    • Corrected a number of Deadly enchantments that were incorrectly working from Stash (ones that buff other items)
  • Item Spawners
    • Corrected a number of tooltips for Item Spawners to correctly indicate they can spawn items from any Hero
    • Corrected an issue where some spawners could spawn the same item multiple times
    • This was not actually an RNG issue, but a spawning eligibility one
  • New Combat Music Behavior
    • Your equipped board now determines the combat music you hear in PvE!
    • The old PvE-specific track has been removed to make battles feel more consistent with your chosen board.
    • During PvP board swaps, you'll continue to hear your opponent's combat music as usual.

    • Now spawns items from any Hero
    • Corrected an issue where these would only spawn Bronze-tier starting items

    • Clarified the description of the “Get Inspired” option
    • Added a “Nevermind” option so the player can return to the previous options if they don’t want to add a Stove or Cooler

HOTFIX: NOVEMBER 6, 2025

    • There was a visual bug with people not seeing new cosmetics in their Collection when they got them out of chests, or with cosmetics they already owned disappearing. That is now fixed. All items should show in the collection when opened, and previously missing items should show up. 

Encounters

    • Corrected an issue where Scan for Spatial Anomalies reduces the available options by 1
    • Scan for Spatial Anomalies now rerolls the encounter with 3 choices instead of giving XP

Original Patch 8.0

DUPLICATE HANDLING

  • Existing Duplicates on all accounts have been converted to Gems, and new Cosmetics found in Chests that are duplicates will also be converted to Gems at the following rates:
    • Bronze: 12
    • Silver: 25
    • Gold: 125
    • Diamond: 500
    • Legendary: 1250
  • We are keeping a record of converted duplicates for future reference

STORE CHANGES

  • The Store no longer auto-refreshes on purchase
  • Silver items are now available in the Store at 100 Gems
  • Store Prices:
    • Silver: 100 Gems
    • Gold: 500 Gems
    • Diamond: 2000 Gems
    • Legendary: 5000 Gems

PRIZE PASS

  • Monthly Prize Pass updates are resuming
  • Prize Passes will have cosmetics at Level 20 and 40
  • Prize Pass will reset with each monthly Season

COSMETIC CHEST

  • Content from the previous Prize Pass has been added to the Cosmetic Chest
  • The following new cosmetics are added directly to the Chest
    • Eshalak Cafe (Jules’ Board)

  • 30 new item skins have been added to the Chest

RANK RESET

  • Soft Reset is now implemented:
    • Current Legendary and Diamond players will be reset to Gold 5
    • Current Gold players will be reset to Silver 5
    • Current Bronze and Silver players will be reset to Bronze

GENERAL CHANGES

  • Tooltips
    • Corrected a number of systemic tooltip, issues showing incorrect values being upgraded
    • Removed “non-Legendary” from transform tooltips now that it’s clarified in the Transform Legend
  • Skill Assignments
    • Made several changes to the skills available to each hero to better reflect core identities
  • “With an item” triggers
    • Most “with an item” clauses in items removed so they work with Skills
    • Previously, this exception was inconsistently applied to some items only, this makes them all work the same way
    • Generally, Skill outputs will be more limited going forward
  • Doubling Effects
    • Corrected a number of active doubling effects which would retroactively also double new buffs (such as Atlas Stone and LavaRoller)
  • Optimization
    • Optimized several visual areas to improve performance, including cases with high Max Health values
  • Resume Issues
    • Corrected an issue with Quest items not retaining buffs when resuming a run
    • Corrected an issue with temporary buffs not retaining when resuming a run
  • Value Gain
    • Increased the trigger priority of value gain effects in combat to resolve some inconsistent ordering issues when certain item combinations were present

Patch Preview (October 8th)

Welcome back Bazaarians! Today we want to announce officially that we will have a large balance patch coming out next week, on Wednesday October 8th.

While we’re still working on data and finalizing the exact changes in the patch we wanted to give you a preview of the kinds of changes to expect and why we are making them.

GENERAL PATCH GOALS:

  • We want to continue to move away from items with large permanent/out of combat scaling when possible as they can commit you to builds early and lead to un-fun matchups when the scaling is out of control.
    • This does not mean we’re eliminating ALL out of combat scaling, but we are continuing to adjust items as we can to lower how much items like this show up.
    • What does this mean for this patch?
      • A complete rework of Dooley’s Dinosaur build to focus on in combat scaling instead of permanent scaling.
      • Reworks for Tea Set and Coincure, two more of Pyg’s permanent scaling items
  • Our next main goal was to try and improve Pygmalien’s early and mid-game in order to smooth out his general play experience and give us the space to lower the power level of some of his later game builds.
    • What does this mean for this patch?
      • Improving Pyg’s early game healing lines, particularly for hybrid builds with healing and weapons
      • Reworks for Hammock, Coincure, Hypergreens, Tea Set, Succulents, Weights,  Staying Power, OverHeal Regeneration
  • We also looked to tweak overperforming items across all Heroes, although these changes have been less than in previous balance patches (and generally less intense nerfs)

  • Another thing we wanted to tweak was the amount of cooldown reduction players can stack across items and skills. As a result we nerfed the majority of cooldown reduction items and skills across the board.
  • Along with all these changes to items, we also wanted to focus on cleaning up skills in this update. To this end we tweaked a number of skills that haven’t been seeing play and adjusted which skills show up on which hero to try and create more viable options and interesting skill decisions. 
  • Beyond these changes to items and skills, we’re also looking to both balance and spice up encounter and level up options. To this end we now have a number of powerful encounters that give you 0 exp instead of the normal 1 for the hour and have tweaked a bunch of encounters and level up options to improve variety.
  • Lastly, this update also features some new content! Including:
    • Two Stelle items that were previously disabled but now are functional (Bomb Voyage and Binoculars)
    • 6 new encounters (including a unique Mak encounter)
    • 1 new monster
