Each day in The Bazaar is made up of different hourly phases. Before we look at the details, here's a quick overview.
- Hour 0: Vendors/Events
- Hour 1: Vendors/Events
- Hour 2: PvE Encounter
- Hour 3: Vendors/Events
- Hour 4: Vendors/Events
- Hour 5: PvP Fight
In most cases, you'll be given a vendor, an event, and some type of free option (item, gold, XP, Max Health, Regen, etc.).
However, the actual vendors you see will vary in type and quality depending on the day. In some uncommon situations you may even encounter two different vendors on the same hour.
Once you make your selection, the clock moves forward one hour. If you have any "At the start of each hour" effects, this is when they would trigger. This is useful to know for items like
Crypto so you can reliably monitor its Value.
The default Economy starts at 15 gold and 7 Income.
Hour 0

This is your first opportunity to shop at a vendor, and one of two chances to acquire items before the first PvE Encounter.
It's generally a good idea to check the shop to increase your odds of finding something useful, though feel free to take the event or free option if you don't care for that particular vendor.
At the end of each passing hour you'll automatically gain 1 XP. It's important to make note of where you're at so that you can better plan your pathing during a day.

For example, you may decide to skip a vendor and choose an event (certain events can grant XP) if it would make you level-up. Having a level advantage over the opponent can make a big impact in a fight, especially during the first few days.
Hour 1

When you do opt to shop, don't feel the need to make a purchase if nothing catches your eye. You'll still have more chances later.
Hour 2

Rest assured, no matter what you do, you will be okay for the first PvE Encounter. With the exception of Viper, the remaining five monsters are all 100% free. Even without items you will outlast them once the Sandstorm kicks in.
One rare exception is the Kyver Drone. It technically can defeat you if your board has really bad items as it can potentially scale its Damage via its skill. However, you can easily avoid this by putting all items into your Stash before the fight.
Hour 3

After your first PvE Encounter, you'll have two more rounds of vendors/events before matching into PvP.
You'll now have a bit of extra gold to work with, so you should usually look to fill out your board before the end of the day.
Hour 4

This is your last chance to act before it's time for PvP. If you haven't yet found enough items to fill your board, it's almost always wise to go to the vendor, unless you've luckily stumbled into a very strong start.
Hour 5

The first PvP fight of a run is definitely the most reliant on matchup RNG. While the average power level tends to be quite low, there's still a pretty wide spectrum that you can encounter.
Certain item/skill/enchant combos can be insanely strong on Day 1, and you'll learn to identify these as you play more.
If you lose the initial fight, don't worry. As the days progress you'll have a lot more agency to turn the tide in your favor!
