Kripp's Regen Jules Build

Overview

Regen is very prevalent among Jules' item pool and it exists in many different forms. While it's built into Burn setups as a means of defense, full investment into the archetype unlocks huge one-shot potential.

Assembling this build efficiently requires some good pathing and Economy/Stash management, but can also come together when a pivot opportunity presents itself.

Example Early Game Path

Note: Jules builds have extremely contextual positioning due to the RNG placement of the Stoves and Coolers. Your mileage may vary.

Core Synergies

  • Basket is the heart and soul of many defensive Jules' builds, especially early on.
    • Shield skills can quickly ramp up the Regen during the initial days.
    • While playable without completed Quests, aim to at least unlock the first bonus ASAP.
  • Trail Mix is another fast spamming Regen item, particularly once upgraded.
    • You'll likely want to Stash this until you've at least completed one Quest. Its power truly unlocks once both are finished.
    • Thankfully, this follows the same game plan as Basket, making it easy to invest in both at the same time.
  • Microwave offers a great source of board-wide Haste, as long as you're playing primarily Food items.
    • The Heated slot shouldn't be too competitive in this build, but depending on your setup, you may have to opt for alternatives.
  • Rice and Prep Station (choose one) provide early game scaling, and more importantly, an offensive win condition.
    • It can be risky to play a fully passive build, as relying solely on the defenses from Basket won't always be enough.
    • If using Microwave + Rice, you'll need a Scorchpepper to enable both effects. Otherwise, use Coffee instead of Microwave.
    • When playing Prep Station, prioritize fast items, or items that can benefit from more than one type of scaling.

Tips & Tricks

  • Pasta Maker is a high priority pickup early on for the Economy boost, and more importantly, its Food supply. It'll help fulfill Basket and Trail Mix.
    • Cookie Cutters can also be worth grabbing to aid with Quests, although it won't do much for Econ (at least until later).
  • Lean into the Burn scaling plan early on instead of going full Regen. Once Bread Knife is found, then you can commit further.

Example Mid Game Additions

Core Synergies

  • Bread Knife is the key win condition for Regen builds, providing a proactive game plan that eventually reaches one-shot levels after enough scaling.
  • Azakan Stew, Burrito, and Jambalaya can be solid mid game additions to improve upon your early game Rice or Prep Station setups.
    • Note: If you've already found Bread Knife, skip these.
  • Bread offers a solid amount of Regen scaling as long as you have reliable targeted Haste (ex. Coffee, Microwave).
    • This is best used alongside multiple (often Small) Regen items, rather than a couple.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you haven't found Bread Knife, make it a priority to visit vendors that could sell it (usually Ande or Aila).
  • Chocolate Coin is always worth buying for some extra income, especially since you're regularly selling Food.
  • Always grab Fortune Cookie for the free skill. With all the Multicast Food, it won't take long to complete the Quest.

End Game Build Breakdown

Core Synergies

  • Farmer's Market amplifies your Regen items to new heights, creating massive numbers for items like Basket and Trail Mix.
    • Laurel's Fortress is a reasonable alternative Regen item, albeit much slower than the other two.
  • Veggie Garden provides even more Damage for Bread Knife, while also creating a big Max Health buffer which can help stay out of kill range.

Tips & Tricks

  • Try to level up as much as possible to scale your Max Health. Prioritizing extra PvE fights or XP events will lead to more Regen with Farmer's Market.
  • Prioritize upgrades that lower Cooldowns first. Items like Basket and Trail Mix rely on this to stay efficient.

Situational Variants

  • Microwave can still be useful as a Haste enabler, despite benefiting less items on board.
    • Knife Sharpener works fairly well alongside it, as it helps Haste Microwave itself.
  • Luau is an excellent option if you happen to get a Heavy enchanted Farmer's Market.
