Overview

Mak has a ton of crazy combos and synergies enabled by his unique item pool.

Reagents gives Mak the greatest access to enchantments among all Heroes, which undoubtedly leads to wild outcomes.

While most strategies in The Bazaar have a specific structure or game plan in mind, have you ever considered a build that simply rolls the dice?

While definitely a high-roll, this is actually achievable by continuously Transforming Frozen Horror.

Core Combos and Synergies

Recycling Bin + Vial Launcher

The combination between Recycling Bin and Vial Launcher creates an endless supply of random Potions, solving Ammo with a rather unconventional means of "Reload". Each time a Potion is used, Vial Launcher deals Damage and grows stronger. With a speedy supply, it can output some solid numbers.

The RNG nature of this build means that it's fairly flexible with the Potions it runs. After all, each use will Transform them into another Potion, meaning you have no control beyond the first cast of each one. However, the Cooldown Reduction keeps it a potent combo.

It's important to remember that Transforming items retains their enchantment properties. So in order to maximize value, try to Transform Reagents and/or continuously reroll them to get a solid baseline to work with.

Runic Potion

Runic Potion is arguably the most important Potion of the build and essentially functions as the third piece of the combo. Runic Potion grants Lifesteal to the Vial Launcher, giving the build a very reliable form of sustain.

You'll ideally want to avoid Weapon Potions such as Bottled Lightning, as there's a chance the Runic Potion's Lifesteal will apply to the wrong target. It must hit Vial Launcher. For the same reason, avoid Transforming and utilizing Shard of Obsidian as its Obsidian enchant actually becomes a downside.

Additional Ammo on Runic Potion can ultimately solve this issue, although do be cautious if you only have Silver and no supporting skills and/or Gunpowder.

Energy Potion + Flying Potion + Vitality Potion

Energy Potion and Flying Potion are useful for keeping the build running as fast and smooth as possible. The tier actually matters a lot, as every second of Haste will pass over and remain on the item once Transformed.

Additional copies are always welcome if you find them, and you can see that Kripp utilized two to jumpstart the build. Without enough Haste, you'll be more at the mercy of Recycling Bin RNG.

Vitality Potion is the final major roleplayer of the build. Its Healing capabilities are often unmatched, but what's actually even more important is finding the right enchantment for it. You really want to find a Fiery or Toxic enchant, as it effectively converts a percentage of your Max Health into Burn/Poison.

Supportive Items and Skills

Athanor Variant

Athanor offers another way to approach the Potion-spamming archetype, allowing you to still take advantage of Recycling Bin's Cooldown reduction, while including higher tier Potions (since scaling Vial Launcher is no longer the goal).

However, one key thing to keep in mind is this build's lack of sustain. In Kripp's case, he had a Shielded Athanor which provided an excellent line of defense. Without this, it can be rather fragile during the later stages of the game, which is why Runic Potion + Vial Launcher is the go-to.

Regardless, it's a solid piece that can enable a Potion build without Vial Launcher, giving you a reasonable pivot point if you find it later.

Atmospheric Sampler Variant

Atmospheric Sampler can be very strong alongside the right combination of enchantments, and there's no doubt that Icy played a pivotal role. That said, you could still opt to include it over other Potions, depending on what you find.

Distilled Sunlight

Distilled Sunlight is always worth the purchase. Alongside Potion Distillery, you can continuously reroll until you get a valuable Shiny Potion. Not only that, but once you've Transformed it, you could very well find it again in a future shop. Multiple Shiny Potions? Yes please!

Potion Distillery + Alembic

Potion Distillery and Alembic (alongside other Catalyst generators) are some of Mak's key ways to continously Transform items, essentially allowing him to "reroll" enchantments (or more accurately, the hosts for them). While not mandatory, they do provide extra utility for an otherwise RNG build.

Knee Brace + Bottled Tornado

Knee Brace is actually a very worthwhile inclusion if you acquire it early from Curio (ideally Day 1-2). As long as you're able to spare the single board slot, you'll be able to get a huge HP lead over others, especially when you upgrade it. Add in Bottled Tornado and you can get some cheeky wins from the HP advantage.

Potent Potables

Potent Potables is a great inclusion alongside Athanor to help greatly improve its Burn output. It can also affect your Potions as well, but given the RNG nature of Transform, it's not something you should count on.

Dumpster Diving

Dumpster Diving is like having Port as a skill, except it only hits Potions (upside) and can even find Medium-sized items too. This is pretty sweet considering it doesn't occupy any Stash space itself, unlike every other comparable effect.
