Orange Julian
Orange Julian has insanely high Damage scaling potential. Its bonus grows outside of combat in the same way that a Silver
Cash Cannon does, meaning with a strong enough Economy you can unlock incredible power.
Just like almost every out-of-combat scaling item, investing in
Orange Julian is best when acquired during the first few days. Not only does this allow more time to scale, but it also lets you path accordingly so you can opt for extra Income.
While it may seem logical to run a multi-Weapon setup to take advantage of
Orange Julian's board-wide buff, the challenge is getting around its long Cooldown. One-Weapon builds tend to have better survivability thanks to
Crow's Nest (or
Quality over Quantity), allowing time for
Orange Julian to go off.
When scaled well enough you'll gain a massive Damage spike after just one activation, meaning it honestly doesn't matter that only one item benefits. Additionally, you can get great value out of earlier
Insect Wings and
Feathers since every upgrade reduces
Orange Julian's Cooldown by a flat one second.
Fang
Fang has become a very solid Weapon ever since "The
Bonkening". Its low three second Cooldown and Small size makes it a prime target for Damage buffs. While its had some potential in One-Weapon setups before, it generally couldn't output comparable levels of Damage compared to other top contenders.
Orange Julian is an excellent solution. With access to outstanding scaling, all that really matters beyond is speed, and that's where
Fang excels. Plus, its Small size makes it much easier to slot-in
Orange Julian, whereas most other One-Weapon builds are built around a Medium or Large item.
Kripp had a Deadly
Fang which alongside
Crow's Nest ensured a guaranteed 100% Crit rate. You can do without, but it's handy to have.
Crow's Nest + Silencer
Crow's Nest plays a huge role thanks to its Lifesteal. The build's incredible scaling lets it really pack a punch even without many other items or skills, as long as it can survive long enough. One
Orange Julian use will usually be enough to turn the tide, and
Crow's Nest helps make it happen.
Silencer fits in as always along any One-Weapon build, and while its Cooldown reduction is less impactful for
Fang, it's ultimately still a best-in-slot option for the build. The one notable difference is that you don't need to prioritize upgrading it, as Haste can keep it running at peak speeds.
Deadly
Crow's Nest adds a huge amount of Damage and should be prioritized when possible. It's one of the reasons to justify keeping
Crow's Nest instead of replacing it with other Crit support and sustain (
Quality over Quantity or Restorative/Shielded enchants).
