How to Invest in Properties
Establishing a strong Income is an important part of the early game. You're going to need a good sum of gold to be able to purchase some of the later items of the build, and also to cover your bases as you shift items around in the early and mid game.
Common early pickups often include
ATM and/or
Cash Register. In addition, the Jungle Ruins event offers a Pyg-only option of +2 Income that other Heroes don't have access to. Unless you're in desperate need of the accompanying vendor, it's definitely worth it.
You may also have the option to select Income as a level-up reward (instead of random item/Loot). This is generally the best choice until the later parts of the game, as by then you'll probably get more mileage out of a good Loot item.
Having a solid savings will ensure you can regularly reroll at priority vendors, plus have the freedom to dig a little deeper when you encounter the Pearl's Dig Site event.
If you're lucky enough to encounter the rare Investment Pitch event, be sure to select the option to double your leftmost Property's Value. This is a massive power spike, allowing you to reach new heights well beyond the average scaling potential.
Rewards Card
Rewards Card is a vital part of this strategy. It's the most reliable way to continuously stack value onto your Properties. It's important to search every potential vendor to find it ASAP, then use your targeted level-up upgrades to eventually bring it up to Diamond.
Once the
Rewards Card is established, always pay close attention to your pathing during the run. Unless a very good event or optional choice is offered, it's probably best to select the vendor. Even if you don't intend on buying anything it will at the very least scale your Property.
Ledger
Ledger (formally Deed) has been reworked, allowing it to now function as an excellent mid to late game Value-scaler. With a strong enough Income/Economy you can turn excess gold into even more gold, while also having another great way to stack your Properties.
Previously you had to rely on acquiring your Property early enough in order to have enough time to increase in Value.
Ledger opens the door, allowing you to pivot later and make up some of the time disparity.
Keep in mind that you'll often need ample inventory space in order to capitalize on
Ledger. You'll need at least five open spaces for
Chocolate Bar events, and it also helps to make Gumball events less tedious.
Fixer Upper
Fixer Upper is a great early game purchase that will passively upgrade throughout your run as you spend more gold. However, it can also be picked up and upgraded later on if needed.
The Burn/Poison enchants are what define its greatest potential, as their damage-over-time output is nearly impossible to match. When you reach level 10 be sure to always enchant the
Fixer Upper. If Burn/Poison isn't the known option, roll the random enchant.
If you manage to land the Burn/Poison enchant, amazing, continue to look for the rest of the build. If not, you will still have a respectable item since
Fixer Upper is a Large item with a low Cooldown.
When the enchantment doesn't align, instead focus on converting your stacked
Fixer Upper into Shield Damage with
Spiky Shield (or the less common
Force Field). This is a completely respectable backup plan.
Subscraper
Subscraper is perfect because it takes advantage of other Value-doubling items while also granting Value across the board. It's best included in the build alongside a Fiery/Toxic
Fixer Upper, although it can also be a threatening enchantment target of its own.
Rewards Card can be switched from scaling
Fixer Upper to scaling
Subscraper, since its own Value will be passed onto the other items in combat.
Kripp applied the Shielded enchant to
Subscraper which lets the item create an absolute wall of defenses. It's definitely not as important as enchanting the
Fixer Upper, but does allow the build to easily fend off Weapon Damage.
Stained Glass Window
Stained Glass Window is another great way to scale the Value of your Properties. While it does have a strong Cooldown reduction effect, using it in PvP can be very risky.
You won't be able to acquire
Stained Glass Window until a bit later on since it starts at Gold tier. However, once you have it be sure to swap it onto your board during PvE in order to gain extra Value.
