Crook + Atlatl Package Start
Note the Crook had the nerf: "damage and damage bonus reduced to [10/20/40] from [10/20/50]" but it's still very good.
If you want to play an aggressive Pygmalien that goes for a Day 10 win instead of scaling until late game, its tough to beat the Crook beatdown archetype.
The item provides a flat buff based on how many Medium items you have across ALL your items.
Crook
This is screenshot is of the pre nerf version, the new one has +40 Damage at Diamond rarity.
A classic Weapon to pair with Crook is the Atlatl. This is because the Atlatl casts faster the more damage it has (it's incredibly slow without damage upgrades). So if you can grant it more base damage (which is what the Crook does), it can cast rapidly.
Atlatl
Kripparrian was able to enchant his Atlatl into a Turbo Atlatl during his run.
Beehive + Yo-Yo
The next core Medium item this build uses is of course, the Beehive. With each purchase of a Property, you can use it to spawn a Busy Bee, but you only need one Bee for this build.
As we mentioned earlier, in addition to its usual 8.0 second cast, the Busy Bee is also instantly used whenever your enemy uses an item.
So if you can buff your Bee, you can deal a ton of punishment to your enemy every time they cast. Thankfully, it can buff offered by the Crook's effect.
Beehive + Busy Bee
In The Bazaar, paying close attention to the language of each item is crucial to finding powerful combination. If we revisit the Beehive's effect, pay close attention: "When your enemy uses an item, use a Busy Bee."
This means that on top of being an instant effect, it also counts as a use, or a cast. This makes the Busy Bee a great pairing with the Yo-Yo, which also instantly triggers when an adjacent item is used.
The Yo-Yo is once again, buffed by the Crook, and will be triggering constantly with Atlatl on one side and the Busy Bee on the other.
