Use your favourite features in-game with our Desktop AppCombat Core is one of the most versatile Dooley builds and one that is very easy to swap into at any point.
It provides scaling Damage and Shields based on items being used either side of it. With the right skills it can easily snowball into a 10 win finish!
As with most Shield builds you will struggle against Poison as your healing often isn't good enough and you need some time to scale.
For this build, the Core isn't going to be mandatory. If you have certain skills that synergize well then it can be kept on the board but many of the Core choices work.
The Combat Core gets bonus Shield and Damage with each item use. You will normally position this in the middle of the board to benefit from both effects however you should adjust based on which skills you get during the game. The most important part about this is that it is also a Core item. That means any skills or items that buff the Core, also buff this.
Scrap Metal is always a great buy as it will upgrade both of your Core items. If it's a higher rarity it will also reduce the cooldown.
If you're using both Core items then you'll have your board permanently Hasted with this skill. Even without it's extremely good for getting the scaling quicker on Combat Core.
This works on both Core items so you end up granting even more Shield.
There are not many specific items that are required for this build to function. You're looking to buff your Combat Core and use items often.
This just gives you more damage which means you can have more items on the right of the Combat Core to buff it's Shield.
Crit Chance which benefits both Damage and Shields. There are a limited amount of skills for weapons and shield items but here we can combine them.
Miss Isles is a great item for this build, especially if you can find a Damage stacking skill to make it stronger. It will always reload but the Multicast will give 2 stacks to the Combat Core on a 3 second cooldown. If you can Haste this then it will scale extremely quick.
Lightbulb is a good item to splash into builds if you can find the Diamond version. It gives Crit Chance which benefits both Damage and Shields.
Beta Ray gives you some much needed crowd control effects and will be permanently Haste the entire fight. The Combat Core will Haste this and with a few Freeze skills, this can be a game changer.
Ideally you want both of these items as early as possible to get the effect on your Core and Combat Core.
The Core can use the bonus Damage and extra money early can help us get key upgrades. Since we have a good early game Core we can often slot this into our build and not lose fights.
The Crit Chance from this can be huge when we have our damage scaling online. This is a no brainer though because it can live in your stash and keep getting more value. You will have a lot of cheap Friends and Tools to begin the game with which makes them easy to upgrade. Just sell this when you need to buy a big item later.
