ANYONE CAN COOK

Overview

Jules has extremely high burn scaling, and Mak levels of regen, enabled by a her wide variety of food options. The core of this build is Microwave and Rice or Feast, but there is a lot of flexibility and even late game pivot potential with Grill or Jumbo Wok

Early and Mid Game Plan - Meal Prep

Early game is arguably the most important for Jules. The entirety of our engine can be obtained as early as day 1, so choosing encounters wisely is important. I tend to prioritize: Mittel (Med Items) -> Kina (non-Weapons) -> Lost Crate (Pick the Med Item). These encounters will help us roll into Microwave and Rice

From here we want to prioritize getting the small items that make our build function, Scorchpepper being the 1st target. Don't be afraid to experiment with any burn or haste foods, most of them work passably well with Microwave's Haste.

It is also important to have a good flow of gold through income or encounters. If you have the core engine running you can survive most difficult encounters to help gather gold. Saving our gold for key re-rolls or pivot buys is very important.

Mid and Late Game - Hell's Kitchen

By the time you are hitting Level 9 you should be comfortably steam rolling most encounters. Taking the Chef Brolin option at level 9 is imperative, making sure to add another heat slot. Our main goal now is to focus getting Diamond Microwave, and taking any opportunity to gather more skills. This build is not reliant on any skills, but any burn or regen skills certainly make things more comfortable.

Keep an eye out for key pivot targets:
Feast is our primary pivot tool, replacing Rice
Grill can replace microwave and be used to high effect with low cooldown food

This Build can struggle against high damage Weapon builds, such as Crit Vanessa or Squares Pygmalien, due to regen being our primary sustain. When possible enchanting our core engine with Shielded can help bridge those gaps.

Example 10 Win board. Not every build is going to end up looking like this, especially given the random nature of Jules' Heated slots. But the key item placements are Scorchpepper to the right of Rice or Feast, and Coffee to the right of Microwave.

Alternative Example Board

Tea SiphonCard border
GrillCard border
FeastCard border
PepperCard border

This was a 10 win board that started as the usual Microwave and Rice engine, but pivoted as I found Grill and Tea Siphon. For this particular board I was lucky enough to have my second heat slot next to a chill slot, enabling both effects of Feast. If you are not lucky enough to get good slot placement you can always use Scorchpepper to fill any gaps.

Its worth noting that not every Grill board will look the same, but you should be fine as long as you have low cooldown, heated food on either side.

The Main Engine (Necessary Core)

Microwave and Rice provide burn + sustain at a rate that can really start to add up, Scorchpepper enables you to have two heated slots in the early game. Once you have your core engine, add a Coffee or a Butter to get even more haste from Microwave. An early Feast is almost always worth replacing Rice.

Towards the late game you can pivot if you feel you are not seeing enough burn and regen, and that usually will involve a combination of Grill and Feast, as well as a low cooldown heated item like Tea Siphon or even a Azakan Stew if you have good enchants. Jumbo Wok is another contender for late game pivot, it really depends on your board state when you roll into it.

These Items are not fully essential, but very worth considering:
Coffee: Placing next to Microwave effectively makes it haste itself.
Butter: Good "aoe" haste if you feel your board is taking time between casts.
Pizza: Good alternate item for Rice. The scaling is less efficient, but the multicasts can really add up.

Supportive Items and Skills

These items can always be good/worth adding to your storage depending on your income/how many open slots you have.
Blueberry Pie: If you are not finding Rice or Pizza you can slot in the pie, just know that you will get out-scaled by poison boards.
Black Pepper: Similar to Coffee except we are charging instead of hasting, so pay attention to your skills
Banu Leaves: Good small slot filler that will generate shield fast with our hasted food casts.
Pickled Peppers: If you have the space this can be a good burn addition, bit of a longer cooldown however.
Fortune Cookie: Always worth taking. This functions similar to Stelle's Orbital Polisher, but its faster to complete the quest, and we are getting a skill instead of an enchant.
Toaster: similar to Pickled Peppers. Will not benefit from Microwave's haste effect.
Cornucopia: Good Medium item filler.
Rice Cooker: Haste version of Cornucopia, but does not benefit from Microwave's haste.

Most Burn/Regen skills will always be worth taking.
