Pulse Grenade (1) | ||
---|---|---|
Throw a grenade the begins pulsing when it lands. Each pulse applies damage, movement slow, and stacking damage amplification for Paradox against the victim. | ||
6m Radius | 4 Pulses | 28s Cooldown |
0.8s Pulse Interval | 45 Pulse Damage | 6% Damage Amp per Stack |
8s Amp Duration | 30% Movement Slow | 2s Slow Duration |
Pulse Grenade Upgrades | ||
---|---|---|
1 AP | 2 AP | 5 AP |
+0.8s Duration | -8s CD | +45 Pulse Damage, +0.75m Radius per pulse |
Maxing Pulse Grenade improves Paradox’s AoE potential for wave clear, teamfights, and taking neutral camps. It increases the number of pulses, decreases its cooldown, and upgrades its damage per pulse.
Tips for Pulse Grenade
Pulse Grenade explodes in a big sphere, so it can wrap around cover and hit enemies behind it if your skillshot indicator shows them in range before you cast it.
Remember that it can stick to walls and ceilings, so be creative with your placement.
Time Wall (2) | ||
---|---|---|
Create a time warping wall that stops time for all enemy projectiles and bullets that touch it. Enemies that touch the wall will take damage as a percentage of their max health and be briefly slowed. | ||
1 Charges | 8s Cooldown Between Charges | 25s Cooldown |
0.7s Time Stop Duration | 10% Max Health Damage | 7s Duration |
80% Movement Slow | 7m Wall Width | 3.5m Wall Height |
Time Wall Upgrades | ||
---|---|---|
1 AP | 2 AP | 5 AP |
+2m Width, +1m Height | +1 Charges | Enemies that touch Time Wall will be silenced for 2.5s |
Maxing Time Wall lets Paradox maximize her defensive capabilities, giving it a larger size, a second charge, and even Silencing enemies who touch it.
Tips for Time Wall
When trying to escape enemies, we often see newer Paradox players turning around to place her Time Wall. There’s no need for this as it works in both directions, so just place the wall in the direction you’re running and run through it.
Kinetic Carbine (3) | ||
---|---|---|
Start charging your weapon and gain increased movement speed once it's fully charged. Your next shot will release the energy, dealing spirit damage and applying a time stop to the enemy hit. The damage dealt is an amplification of your current weapon damage. | ||
+100% Max Damage Amp | +25% Min Damage Amp | 30s Cooldown |
0.25s Min Stop Duration | 25% Bonus Speed | 0.5s Max Stop Duration |
5 Bullet Damage | 2.5s Full Charge Time | 3.5s Speed Duration |
Kinetic Carbine Upgrades | ||
---|---|---|
1 AP | 2 AP | 5 AP |
+0.5s Max Stop Duration | -10s CD and +2s Speed Boost Duration | +50% Max Damage Amp |
Maxing Kinetic Carbine gives Paradox massive pokes and increases her playmaking potential. You’ll get increased Max Stop duration to help you aim, lowered cooldown, increased movement speed, and additional damage amp.
Tips for Kinetic Carbine
You can stall yourself in the air multiple times between dashes and any other movement while Kinetic Carbine is activated, so you can really mix up your movement in a fight to get the perfect shot.
Improve your efficiency by reloading your gun while your Kinetic Carbine shot is charging.
Paradoxical Swap (4) | |
---|---|
Fire a projectile that swaps your position with the target enemy hero. While the effect occurs, you gain spirit lifesteal and the enemy hero takes damage over time. | |
25m Range | 65s Cooldown |
125 Swap Damage | 100% Spell Lifesteal |
Paradoxical Swap Upgrades | ||
---|---|---|
1 AP | 2 AP | 5 AP |
-15s Cooldown | +100 Swap Damage | +20m Range |
Maxing Paradoxical Swap makes her ultimate easier to use with a longer cast range, makes it deal more damage, and lets her cast it more often.
Tips for Paradoxical Swap
This one might be obvious for Paradox veterans, but use the CC from your Kinetic Pulse, Time Wall, and Kinetic Carbine abilities to set up an easier Paradoxical Swap.
You can also do tricks like throwing a grenade at the ground and then swapping your enemy into it. Be creative and look to swap your enemy into the most fatal situations whether you’re setting it up solo or with allies.

How to Counter Paradox
Paradox has long cooldowns, especially in the early game. If she whiffs any of them, you'll likely have the advantage.
If you're a tank, try to block line of sights to your backline to deter or block the ult swap Paradoxical Swap. This might even help you set up a favorable counter engage.
If fighting in an area like a long hallway, it's okay to shoot at Paradox's Time Wall as it will eventually fly through. Some new players think they shouldn't shoot at the wall at all.
