[WIP] Atlas Tree - Fast Completion Stater Tree

Overview

This Atlas Tree will help you complete your Atlas as quickly as possible on a fresh league. This is an advanced Tree for intermediate to experienced players wanting to rush their first two Voidstones by slaying Eater and Exarch as quickly as possible

For this strategy, it's recommended you seek out the Map Boss, killing monsters along the way in the hopes that the Boss drops a new Map that allows you to progress. If the Boss doesn't drop a Map, continue clearing the Map until you find a monster that drops a connected Map. This will help to prevent you from being underleveled and undergeared as you progress

In order to gain additional Atlas Passive Points, you will need to slay the Map Boss with the following conditions:

  • White Map (Tier 1-5): Slay the Map Boss in this Map that is Magic Rarity
  • Yellow Map (Tier 6-10): Slay a Map Boss in this Map that is Rare Rarity
  • Red Map (Tier 11-16): Slay a Map Boss in this Map that is Rare and Corrupted

You will find the Envoy in low Yellow Maps (Tier 6-10) and he will guide on what to do next to hunt down the Eater and Exarch, which is the goal of the first part of this Atlas Tree. Defeating these two bosses will grant you your first two Voidstones, which is an important step in your Atlas Progression

Guide

Step 1: Reaching Unwavering Vision

For this first tree, we head straight up toward Unwavering Vision, collecting some Expect the Unexpected, Commissioned Officer, and Shaping the World along the way

All of these points will grant an additional chance for one Monster in each of your Maps to drop an additional connected Map, as well as granting an additional chance for a Kirac Mission to be granted on Map Completion

A Connected Map is any Map that is adjacent to another Map on the Atlas (Press G to open)

Allocating Unwavering Vision grants 20 Atlas Passive Points at the expense of your Maps being unable to drop Scarabs and preventing your Maps from being affected by Fragments other than Divine Vessels. This is fine on league start and very worth the additional 20 Atlas Passive Points

Step 2: 20 Additional Points

The next step further increase the chance for a Monster to drop a connected Map and increased chance for Maps that drop to drop a Tier higher

With the 20 Additional Points from Unwavering Vision, we allocate the following Notables at the bottom of the Tree

  • Shaping the Mountains
  • Shaping the Skies
  • Planar Tactician
  • Head diagonally toward Solidarity

Step 3: Filling Out

The next points fill out the bottom of the tree with several small Passives that increase Map drop chance, and we also collect Solidarity for increased Kirac Missions and Scouting Reports on Completion

After this, I like taking Expert Reconnaissance to further build up your Scouting Reports as you near higher completion

These points should assist you in reaching Tier 16 Maps and completing your first two Voidstones. It is highly recommended that you turn on Quest Tracking in Options if you have it turned off, to clue you into what to do next in your Atlas Journey

Some Tips

  • If you are rushing your Two Stone completion (Exarch and Eater), you don't necessarily need to run your Red Maps as Rare and Corrupted for completion as this can be extremely difficult for weak, undergeared characters.
  • Pay attention to your character's level with regards to the Map Tier you are in - the Map Area Level doesn't necessarily reflect the level your character should be at while in that zone. For example, an Area Level

Tools for Aiding Atlas Completion

Tips for Aiding Atlas Completion

Kirac Missions and Scouting Reports

When you complete a Map, you have a chance to gain a Kirac Mission. These are missions that can be opened from the Map Device that will allow you to select a specific Map of Kirac's choosing with a Mission attached. These can be incredibly helpful for completing more Maps that you may not have found along your path through the Atlas.

You do not have to carry out the specific Mission if you are merely using the Map for Atlas Completion.

  • Completing the Map (with the associated requirements, ie. a Rare Map for Tier 6-10 etc) will refresh the selection of Maps Kirac has on offer, if you have a Kirac Mission available.
  • If you do complete Kirac's Mission as well, his inventory will also be refreshed with new Maps for purchase

3-to-1 Recipe

By selling three of the same Map to a vendor, you will be granted a Map of one higher tier.

There is an interesting interaction where if you sell three different Maps of the same type, a different Map of one higher Tier will be the result. That might sound confusing: to explain it better, imagine you have 5 Necropolis Maps; placing 3 in the Vendor Sell window might offer you a Temple Map. However, if you take out one of the Necropolis Maps and swap it for one of the other 5, the resultant Map might instead be an Orchard Map. You can use this to fish for other possible Maps that you are looking for

Orbs of Horizon

The Orb of Horizon can be used to change a Map into a different one of the same Tier. It's important to be aware that it can only change a Map into another of the same natural Tier. As you collect your Voidstones, the base tier of Maps will be increased, but their natural Tier will remain the same.

For example, in PoE 3.27, natural Tier 1 Maps are Coves, Bone Crypt, Shipyard and Thicket. Using a Horizon Orb on a Tier 1 Thicket could only result in one of the other three, regardless of how many Voidstones you have placed into your Atlas
