Stamina is one of the most important resources in Windrose, and it is incredibly important that you’re on top of it at all times. Stamina is used for basically everything, including the likes of fighting your enemies, mining, exploring the many islands, and, of course, sprinting. Being without stamina or having poor stamina recovery is going to make your life and your experience in the game a living nightmare.
In Windrose, there are many ways to increase your stamina, so let's go over how to keep this bar topped up!
Food
Just like in real life, food is one of the best ways to provide you with more stamina. Certain foods crafted at a cooking station can provide benefits like stamina or vitality.
The best recipe for increasing your stamina is the Coconut Milk with Bananas, giving 5 Endurance:
Recipe
Materials
Coconut Milk With Bananas
1x Coconut
1x Banana
Coconuts can be found on the jungle floor and collected on certain Coconut trees
Bananas are a little more rare but still available in the first zone. Usually you will have to visit a neighbouring island to find your first Banana tree. These can also drop Banana seeds, so you can cultivate them on your base in future.
If you do not have access to these recipes yet, you will unlock them by exploring the world and picking up new items. You’ll naturally find new recipes as you pick up ingredients.
Gear
Gear sets and items can also provide you with additional stamina. It might be challenging to find some gear that does this early on in the game, but if you keep exploring, you’re sure to find gear that gives you stamina. There are multiple ways Gear can be found: it can be found in treasure, it can be purchased in towns, and it can also be crafted (to name a few).
For example, equipping the Flibustier's Attire grants you a -20% attack stamina cost bonus, which is ideal when attacking or fighting your opponents. This will reduce the amount of stamina consumed in a fight, and increase your chances of coming out ahead!
There are other items too including Marksman’s Rig, which provides -30% stamina consumed by sprinting and dashing and the Prospector's Ring, which reduces resource gathering consumption by 35%/70% less Stamina. A good idea would be to read all the accessories, items, and gear you find and try to weigh up the pros and cons of each. Ask yourself what you want more, and take it from there.

Rested Buff
When you’re in your base and resting near a bonfire, you will receive a Rested Buff that improves your stamina regeneration while you’re away from your base. This buff doesn’t last long, but there are actions you can take to increase the buff duration, and it all has to do with your Comfort level.
Comfort level can be achieved by placing furniture around your base. Usually these items are built from wood. You need to put down one item from each sub-category to increase your comfort score (additional items from each sub category won't increase the score). This includes but is not limited to, a Stool, Table, Torches, Candles and Bed. The more categories you have covered, the longer the buff will last (up to 30 minutes), which gives you a lot of time to explore the map and return before it depletes.
Leveling Up
Levelling up your character is another way to improve your stamina. To level up you need exp, and the only ways to achieve exp is the following:
Complete quests
Fully clear points of interest (POI)
Once you level up, you can put a stat point into increasing your Stamina.
Talent Points
Talent Points are earned by levelling up your character, and primarily provide combat buffs. You can tweak your playstyle through your talents, choosing to improve your gun play, sword fighting, or two-handed efforts, amongst other benefits.
Some talents will directly improve your stamina however.
