Use your favourite features in-game with our Desktop AppThe Workbench is the nucleus of your crafting and survival experience in Windrose. You'll unlock it shortly after starting the game, but you'll soon find that there are plenty of recipes locked behind higher levels of the bench.
If you want to craft the best tools, utilities, and get the most inventory space, you'll need to upgrade your Workbench. There are three total levels: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
Here's how you rank it up.
After spending some time exploring the island and doing missions for the Doctor, you'll soon run into your first Mine. Inside this mine will be plenty of Copper - chunk away at the rock and feel your pouches, you'll need lots of it later on. Upon returning you'll be tasked with creating Copper Ingots, and it's at this point you'll be able to upgrade your Workbench.
Once you've created some Copper Ingots from the Forge, you'll unlock the Sawhorse building. Build this and your Workbench will rank up to Level 2.
The Sawhorse takes 20 Wood and 10 Copper Ingot to craft.
There's loads of new shinies to craft at this bench, including the impressive Sailor Backpack!
For your third and final upgrade you're going to need a Toolbox. Similar to how Copper was the precursor to Level 2, Hardwood is what you'll need to find for Level 3 - that means this bench is locked behind exploring further zones in the game.
Plop your Toolbox down in your camp and voila! Your Workbench will has ascended to its final form.
The Toolbox takes 10 Wood, 20 Nails, and 5 Foothills Iron Ingot to craft.
The Bosun Backpack is the star of this show; the largest capacity backpack available from crafting granting a whopping 16 extra slots.
