Monster Hunter Wilds is collaborating with Final Fantasy XIV in a special event called "Free Title Update 3.” During this event, players can experience a ton of new content in this special collaboration, which is coming to Monster Hunter Wilds on September 29th, 2025!

During the event, there will be tons of exclusive rewards that will be added, which we will discuss later on.
What Lies Ahead
At Hunter Rank 41 or above, if you complete the mission “What Lies Ahead”, you’ll unlock a special extra mission in the Iceshard Cliffs.
Arch-Tempered Nu Udra is The Third Arch-Tempered Monster
Arch-Tempered Nu Udra has a quest in this event as well. Face the Arch-tempered Nu Udra from October 22 in an event quest, and October 29th in a free challenge quest.
New Equipment
In addition to the new monster, there will be new equipment.
Omega Planetes
Omega Planetes is a new monster that has crossed the inter-dimensional rift and descended to the Forbidden Lands.
Delta Attack: they generate a Nerscylla clone in preparation for its Delta Attack.
Omega Micros: it will spawn “Omega Micros” that charge at the target, dealing damage and then explode.
New Plant-like Creatures!
Two new creatures have wandered from a land far, far away called Eorzea. These creatures are iconic from the Final Fantasy Series, such as the Cactuar.
Rewards Galore
As mentioned previously, there are going to be tons of rewards up for grabs. Gather materials from the Omega Planetes to obtain special equipment and decorations! Other rewards include Palico equipment, Seikret decorations, pendants, gestures, hunter profile backgrounds/poses, and more!
Dark Knight
If you equip the Bale Armor, you will get a bonus skill called “Soul of the Dark Knight.” Activating this skill allows you to use the special action “The Blackest Night.” Activating this ability will consume the player's health and generate a barrier. The great sword known as “Shadowbringer” has its own unique weapon skill as well.
Pictomancer
If you use the “Soul of the Pictomancer”, you can cast Pictomancy Spells like “Pom Motif.” Combine the drawn motifs to unleash a powerful spell called “Mog of Ages.”
How to Participate in the Final Fantasy XIV x Monster Hunter Wilds Collab
To participate in this event, you'll need to reach level 100 and complete the main scenario quest "Dawntrail". These level requirements are similar to previous expansions.
