Synergy in League of Legends is one of the most important factors that can influence a game. Having good synergy in LoL can provide an extensive range of benefits. Have you ever played bot lane with a partner who just isn’t on the same page as you? It may be that they’re playing someone who wants to poke, while you’re playing someone with no poke at all? It can really make your laning phase hell.
The Jungle role is no different from the bot lane. Having good pairings in any of the 3 lanes will be really helpful for a Jungler as it can help you set up ganks and get kills. If you pick someone who cannot do much to help or entice the Xin Zhao to gank your lane, then there is no way that he can gank your lane or help you.
In this Mobalytics guide, we will discuss some different champions that work well with Xin Zhao, and if you pick one of these champions with him, then both of you will have great synergy and be very strong together which will heavily increase your chances of winning the game. For more advice to help you play as Xin Zhao or any other champion in LoL, head over to the Mobalytics Champion Pages.
Annie
The first champion on our list is Annie. Annie is a very simple yet deadly champion in League of Legends, as her kit has a ton of impactful things that can make Xin Zhao want to gank your lane and get the two of you ahead.
Annie has point and click CC with either her Q or W with her Passive. Stunning the enemy allows Xin Zhao to reliably engage and chase the enemy down. You can layer the CC on the enemy and quickly take them down.
Both champions spike at level 6, so Xin Zhao can gank you whenever you have Tibbers up. Tibbers with stun is strong and can be pretty hard to disengage from. Let’s not forget that Tibbers has a lot of burst damage too, which makes it really easy for you two to get kills.

Leona
The next champion on our list is Leona. Leona is known to be one of the strongest engage Supports in the game, which makes her ideal for any Jungler who might need a little help to get the ball rolling. Leona works well with many Junglers in the game due to how tanky and how much CC she has in her kit.
Leona has the perfect engage set-up with 3 of her abilities being CC tools. She can quite comfortably lock the enemy down so they have no chance to escape him or disengage. Leona has good gank setup from levels 2 and 3 onwards, so Xin Zhao can just go bot early if he pleases.
Both of them excel in team fights too, as she can go in with him and they can dive the enemy backline together. Having another person going deep in team fights is really important for Xin, so he doesn’t get focused by the enemy.

Sett
Sett is the third champion on our list. Sett is a powerful bruiser-type champion who thrives in extended trades with his kit. He can be very aggressive early on, often resulting in his lane opponent never being full health, which could entice Xin Zhao to gank him.
Sett is a strong laner and can constantly look to fight the enemy during the laning phase. There is no escaping him when he has his E as it pulls the enemies towards him, which forces them to overextend further, which provides time for Xin Zhao to close the gap and start auto-attacking the enemy.
Outside of this, once he has his Ultimate, Sett can drag the enemy into Xin Zhao if Sett lets the enemy push. This can effortlessly help Xin to get into position quickly and start damaging the enemy. This can easily result in kills for either of them.

Rakan
The fourth champion on our list is the one and only Rakan! Rakan is an incredibly mobile Support who is capable of making plays in the laning phase and across the map. Can’t win bot lane? No problem! Team up with the Xin Zhao and move around the map to secure kills.
Like Leona, Rakan also has multiple CC tools in his kit, which allow him to lock the enemy Support or ADC down. He can start ganking them from level 2 onwards, but he will find more success when Rakan hits level 6. Both his W and Ultimate are great tools that can help Xin Zhao follow up quickly.
In the later parts of the laning phase, Rakan can team up with Xin Zhao and roam around the map to make plays and get kills. In team fights, they have great engage synergy as well as Xin Zhao can go in, Rakan can follow with his E, and he can then provide CC and peeling, utility and shielding for the Xin Zhao so he can soak up a lot of damage and stay alive for longer.

Renekton
We’re going to round this list off with Mr Crocodile himself, Renekton. Renekton is one of the most painful champions to play against when he is ahead, and through good wave management, he can constantly all-in his lane opponent and look to fight them. He can easily snowball through top if he gets an early kill.
Bombardino Crocodilo is a very strong laner who can constantly fight and skirmish with the enemy: with point and click CC on his W, he is a great champion to gank and is almost always guaranteed to get kills. The two of them are generally strong skirmishers who excel in those 2v2 fights..
In team fights, like many other champions on our list, Renekton can dive in with Xin Zhao, and the two of them can easily take down any champion they might be facing. Even with dashes or utility spells, it can be difficult for even the strongest of opponents to get these two off them.

To Conclude
Synergy is very important in League of Legends, and you must pick champions that synergise well with one another. Luckily, Xin has tools in his kit to force ganks, but as you can see by our recommendations, having a champion that can follow up is also crucial.
